Thrash Blade is a rare, bind-on-pickup one-hand sword listed as a reward for the Maraudon quest Corruption of Earth and Seed in WoW Classic: Season of Discovery. Its on-hit effect can grant an extra attack on your next swing. The available item and quest records establish the reward association, but not a fully verified current quest walkthrough or vendor-repurchase method.
Thrash Blade stats and effect
Wowhead lists Thrash Blade as item ID 17705, item level 53, and a unique-equipped one-hand sword. Its tooltip lists 66–124 damage, a 2.70 speed, and 35.19 damage per second. The on-hit effect reads: “Chance on hit: Grants an extra attack on your next swing.” Wowhead’s item listing and WoW Classic Database give matching weapon figures.

How to get Thrash Blade in Season of Discovery
Wowhead’s Season of Discovery level-50 quest-rewards guide lists Thrash Blade among the Maraudon quest rewards for Corruption of Earth and Seed. WoW Classic Database records both the Horde and Alliance versions of that quest as sources. This supports the quest as the documented acquisition route; it does not establish every step or confirm any differences in the live SoD quest interaction.
The guide lists Verdant Keeper’s Aim as the paired reward alternative. The available records do not provide enough information for a stat comparison or to determine which reward suits a particular character better.

Wowhead’s item page also shows vendor locations in Desolace. That listing alone does not verify whether, or under what conditions, a Season of Discovery character can buy the sword from a vendor. Treat the quest record as the supported route rather than relying on an assumed repurchase option.

Season of Discovery Phase 4 opened leveling from 50 to 60 and access to all Classic zones, according to Blizzard’s Phase 4 announcement. That is phase context, not evidence that Thrash Blade’s stats or acquisition method changed.
