Start with the theme
Think of words used to describe something as small, insufficient, or so slight that it barely matters.
Non-theme words
The guide reports these six words as usable for earning in-game hints: DING, THANKS, STEAM, PART, PARTY, and HAIL. In Strands, finding three non-theme words earns a hint that reveals the letters of a theme answer.

Spangram clues
The spangram is a two-word phrase with nine letters. According to the guide, it starts with G, ends with S, touches the first column at row two, and reaches the last column at row five.
How the Strands board works
Strands uses a 6-by-8 grid of 48 letters. You connect adjacent letters in any direction to form words. The spangram describes the theme and stretches between opposite sides of the board.
