NYT Strands puzzle #732 for March 5, 2026 has the theme “That’s it?” The hints below start gently and become more revealing; the complete theme-answer list and spangram appear at the end.

Theme and difficulty

PC Guide identifies the theme as “That’s it?” and describes the puzzle as “challenging,” attributing that rating to the New York Times. PC Guide’s March 5 guide lists six theme answers and one spangram.

Hints for Strands #732

Start with the theme

Think of words used to describe something as small, insufficient, or so slight that it barely matters.

Non-theme words

The guide reports these six words as usable for earning in-game hints: DING, THANKS, STEAM, PART, PARTY, and HAIL. In Strands, finding three non-theme words earns a hint that reveals the letters of a theme answer.

Spangram clues

The spangram is a two-word phrase with nine letters. According to the guide, it starts with G, ends with S, touches the first column at row two, and reaches the last column at row five.

How the Strands board works

Strands uses a 6-by-8 grid of 48 letters. You connect adjacent letters in any direction to form words. The spangram describes the theme and stretches between opposite sides of the board.
