How Strands works

Strands asks you to connect letters in a grid to find words tied to the theme. Words can run in any direction, including diagonally. The spangram describes the theme and stretches from one side of the board to the opposite side.

Finding non-theme words can help you earn a hint. Lifehacker’s guide says that three non-theme words of four or more letters make a hint available.

One reported solve order

Lifehacker’s writer found SCHNOZZLE, MUZZLE, and SNOUT, then ONTHENOSE, followed by PROBOSCIS, BEAK, and HONKER. That is one reported route through the puzzle, not a required order.
