Start with four-piece Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy and ATK% sands, an Electro DMG goblet, and a CRIT circlet. Choose teammates based on the reaction you want to play and whether you value Clorinde’s personal damage or total team damage more.
Clorinde is an on-field Electro sword damage dealer. Her Skill puts her into an Electro-infused attack state, and her damage loop interacts with Bond of Life. That makes weapons and artifact sets that work with Bond of Life a natural fit, while team and rotation choices can change which alternatives perform best.
Best Clorinde build at a glance
- Weapon: Absolution is the signature and leading recommendation in the cited build guides. Finale of the Deep is a practical free-to-play alternative.
- Artifact set: Four-piece Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy is the standard choice. Consider Thundering Fury when its reaction bonus and Skill cooldown reduction suit your team and rotation.
- Main stats: ATK% sands, Electro DMG goblet, and CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG circlet.
- Teams: Quicken/Aggravate, Chevreuse Overload, Lunar-Charged, and Hyperbloom or Quickbloom are viable routes, with different balances of personal damage, team damage, and defensive comfort.
These are recommendations from third-party build guides updated in September–October 2026, not results from a standardized cross-account test. Their rankings depend on team, weapon refinement, rotation, and investment.
Which weapon should Clorinde use?
Icy Veins’ September 2026 guide and the Genshin Impact Helper Team’s version 7.1 build page put Absolution at the top of their recommendations. Finale of the Deep is the standout accessible option if you are looking for a free-to-play sword. The order of other weapons can shift with team composition, refinements, and assumptions about rotations.
| Weapon | When to consider it | Access and qualifications |
|---|---|---|
| Absolution | Top recommendation and signature weapon. | Icy Veins lists Absolution at R1 as 117% of that guide’s comparison baseline. This is a modeled result from its build comparison, not a universal in-game performance statistic. |
| Finale of the Deep | Strong free-to-play alternative whose Bond of Life interaction fits Clorinde’s kit. | Called her best free-to-play option by Icy Veins and Mobalytics. |
| The Black Sword | A paid-pass four-star option; its Normal Attack damage is a reason to consider it. | Icy Veins lists it as a strong four-star. Access requires the relevant paid Battle Pass. |
| Mistsplitter Reforged, Haran Geppaku Futsu, and other five-star swords | Usable alternatives when available, with value depending on the build and rotation. | Crit Rate-heavy options may make CRIT balancing harder because Clorinde already receives substantial CRIT Rate from her kit. Some weapon passives are rotation- or shield-dependent; for example, the Helper Team notes Mistsplitter benefits from using Burst before Skill and that its Calamity of Eshu ranking assumes a shield. |
Do not treat a weapon list as an unconditional ranking: Icy Veins explicitly notes that the best choice depends on team and investment. Before settling on a sword, account for its passive conditions and whether your normal rotation can meet them.
Best Clorinde artifacts and main stats
Default: four-piece Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy
Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy is the usual set recommendation because it rewards changes in Bond of Life. Icy Veins describes its effect as granting 18% damage for six seconds per stack, up to three stacks. This is the most straightforward starting point for a general Clorinde build.
Alternative: four-piece Thundering Fury
Thundering Fury offers a reaction bonus and a Skill cooldown reduction, which can be useful when its effects fit the team’s reactions and rotation. The Helper Team’s build page notes that it can surpass Whimsy in a specific Quickbloom team with Furina. Treat that as a team-specific comparison, not a general rule that Thundering Fury is always stronger.
Main stats and substats
| Artifact slot | Starting main stat | When to adjust |
|---|---|---|
| Sands | ATK% | Elemental Mastery can be more competitive in Quickbloom or Hyperbloom; ATK is generally favored for Aggravate. |
| Goblet | Electro DMG | Use the general recommendation unless your particular build gives you a reason to rebalance. |
| Circlet | CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG | Choose to balance your overall CRIT, taking weapon stats and Clorinde’s kit into account. |
Prioritize balanced CRIT and then ATK%. Build enough Energy Recharge for your own rotation rather than stacking it automatically. Elemental Mastery can be more relevant when Clorinde is driving Quickbloom or Hyperbloom than in a standard Aggravate setup.
Recommended Free Tools
As rough guideposts, Icy Veins lists 1,800+ ATK, 80% CRIT Rate, and 180%+ CRIT DMG, plus 100+ Elemental Mastery for Quicken or Hyperbloom. Those targets assume decent artifact rolls and Clorinde’s best weapon; they are not mandatory thresholds or a guarantee of performance.
Clorinde team comps: choose a reaction route
Pick a team by considering four things together: whether you want Clorinde’s personal damage or total team damage, which reaction-enabling characters you own, how much healing or shielding you need, and how much weapon or constellation investment your plan assumes. The following are archetypes and sample roles, not a universal ranking.
| Team route | Core setup | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Quicken / Aggravate | Pair Clorinde with Dendro application and another Electro unit. Fischl is cited for off-field damage and energy; Nahida or defensive Dendro options can fill the Dendro role. | A natural reaction fit, but the balance of damage, defensive support, and roster flexibility depends on your available characters. |
| Chevreuse Overload | Build around Chevreuse and Pyro application/support while keeping the team in Electro and Pyro. Current examples include Durin or Fischl alongside other Hexerei or buffer options. | GameWith says Hexerei pairings can improve Clorinde’s personal damage; Mobalytics highlights the importance of reliable Pyro application for Chevreuse. |
| Lunar-Charged | Use enabling Electro/Hydro units such as Ineffa and Columbina. | Can offer strong combined team output, although Clorinde may act more as a driver and contribute a smaller share of the total damage. |
| Hyperbloom / Quickbloom | Add Hydro and Dendro characters around Clorinde’s Electro application; Furina is specifically discussed in the Thundering Fury Quickbloom comparison. | Artifact set and Elemental Mastery choices are more team-sensitive. GameWith places its Hyperbloom route below its Overload and Lunar-Charged examples; that is the guide’s meta assessment, not a fixed performance result. |
For team examples and role details, see the Icy Veins team guide, GameWith’s Clorinde team guide, and Mobalytics’ Clorinde build page. Their examples reflect different assumptions, so match the route to your roster rather than copying a team label alone.

The Helper Team lists example sequences as Q E2 5N3E (N2 or N3), Q E 6N3E, and, without Burst, E 6N3E. In this shorthand, Q means Elemental Burst, E means Elemental Skill, and N means a Normal Attack string; a number indicates repetitions. These are guide-specific notation examples rather than a universal script. Team setup, timing, and weapon passive conditions can change the sequence.

Pay particular attention to weapons whose passives favor a specific order. For example, the Helper Team notes that Mistsplitter benefits from casting Burst before Skill, so a rotation that omits or moves Burst may not realize the same benefit.
