In Diablo IV’s Season of Hell’s Legacy (Season 15), the current announced route to Resplendent Sparks is through Season Rank rewards and Mythic Caches: Blizzard lists up to 10 Sparks among the Season Rank rewards, plus Sparks in Mythic Caches. Sparks are crafting materials for Mythic Uniques, not a guaranteed fixed payout for every player. The current patch notes identify build 3.2.2, dated September 30, 2026; recipes and reward routes can change between seasons.
How do you get Resplendent Sparks in Season 15?
Blizzard’s Season of Hell’s Legacy announcement lists up to 10 Resplendent Sparks among Season Rank rewards, along with Sparks in Mythic Caches. The announcement also lists five Mythic Unique Caches. These are reward opportunities, not a promise that every character or player automatically receives 10 Sparks: the maximum depends on seasonal progression, and the announcement does not break down the Spark-bearing objectives individually.

Some seasonal progression has an expansion requirement. Blizzard says approximately 15% of Season 15 objectives require Lord of Hatred, including objectives needed to complete Rank VIII and earn all Season Rank rewards. That does not mean every Spark source requires the expansion; the announcement does not say that.
Salvaging a Mythic Unique
Blizzard’s Season 11-era patch notes explicitly say that salvaging a Mythic Unique provides one Resplendent Spark, in addition to other salvage materials. This is the documented yield in those older notes, not a separate confirmation in the Season 15 announcement. Salvage a Mythic only if you are willing to give up the item; the Spark is a crafting material, not a way to recover that Mythic later.

What are Resplendent Sparks used for?
Sparks are used in crafting Mythic Uniques. Season 15 documents three crafting routes: an eligible-item direct upgrade in the Horadric Cube, Jeweler Rune Crafting, and a Mythic Cache made at the Blacksmith. The current official materials reviewed describe these routes but do not publish their live Season 15 Spark and Rune costs. Check the recipe in-game before spending materials.
| Route | What you get | Key trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Horadric Cube direct upgrade | An eligible selected item upgraded to Mythic quality, retaining its affixes and modifications | Preserves the chosen item; the result has the Crafted tag, and only one Crafted-tag item may be equipped |
| Jeweler Rune Crafting | A Mythic Unique made using Sparks and Runes | PTR documentation describes a random class-usable Mythic for a chosen slot; it does not establish the final live material costs |
| Blacksmith Mythic Cache | A Mythic Unique from a cache | Does not preserve a specific item; cache-created Mythics do not carry the Cube’s Crafted tag |
Horadric Cube: keep an eligible item
The Cube’s direct-upgrade recipe is the route to consider when you want to retain a particular eligible item. Blizzard describes it as a 1:1 transfer: the selected item keeps its affixes and modifications as it becomes Mythic. It is more expensive than the Blacksmith or Jeweler routes, according to the Season 15 announcement. The resulting item has a Crafted tag, and the same announcement says only one Crafted-tag item can be equipped.

Jeweler: use Sparks and Runes for a slot
Jeweler Rune Crafting combines Sparks and Runes. Blizzard’s 3.2.0 PTR notes describe the result as a random class-usable Mythic Unique for a chosen slot. That page is preview documentation, not confirmation of Season 15’s final costs. Do not rely on an older recipe’s exact quantities as current prices.
Blacksmith: accept a cache result
The Blacksmith Mythic Cache is another Season 15 crafting path. Unlike the Cube direct upgrade, it does not transfer a specific item you already own, and Blizzard says Mythics created from caches do not carry the Cube’s Crafted tag. The Season 15 announcement does not state the current Spark cost for this recipe.

Which crafting route should you choose?
- Choose the Cube if preserving an eligible item’s affixes and modifications matters most and you can meet the recipe’s current requirements. Account for the Crafted-tag equipment limit.
- Choose Jeweler Rune Crafting if you are willing to receive a random class-usable Mythic for a chosen slot and have the required Sparks and Runes.
- Choose the Blacksmith cache if you want the cache route rather than transferring a selected item. Its result does not carry the Cube’s Crafted tag.
Before committing Sparks, inspect the live recipe and its displayed materials in-game. Blizzard’s Season 14 documentation listed a Jeweler recipe costing 18 Runes and three Sparks, but those are historical quantities and should not be treated as Season 15 prices.

Diablo IV’s Spark sources and recipes have changed across seasons. For this guide, the relevant live-season reference is Season of Hell’s Legacy and Blizzard’s 3.2.2 patch notes, dated September 30, 2026. The season announcement sets a reward ceiling and identifies crafting options, but it does not give a Spark drop probability, enumerate every Spark-bearing objective, or publish current material counts for the crafting recipes. Treat any exact cost shown in an older guide as potentially outdated unless the live recipe confirms it.
