Cronos: The New Dawn launched digitally on September 5, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Standard Edition is the base game; Deluxe adds in-game supplies, two cosmetic skins, and digital artbook and soundtrack content. Preorder offers were tied to the 2025 launch and differed by store and region.
When did Cronos: The New Dawn release?
The digital release date was September 5, 2025. Bandai Namco Europe lists PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2; SEGA Japan gives the same date and lists PC (Steam, Epic, and Windows) alongside the consoles. Bandai Namco Europe’s launch announcement and SEGA Japan’s release information identify digital availability.

| Edition | Base game | In-game supplies | Cosmetic skins | Artbook and soundtrack | Upgrade availability |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Bloober Team’s official game site describes Standard as the base game and lists the Deluxe extras. Store labels vary: the same kinds of supplies may be called shell patches or health packs, and the skins may be described as Traveler skins or armor skins. The US PlayStation Store Deluxe listing summarizes the package differently and does not enumerate every bonus in its summary. Check the live listing for your platform and region, especially if you are considering an upgrade.
What were the preorder bonuses?
Preorder rewards were advance-purchase offers around the 2025 launch, not a single universal package. The US Xbox Store’s preorder-bonus listing included the base game, four pistol rounds, one small health pack, 1,000 energy, and a unique armor skin described as limited to that preorder edition. The US Xbox listing is one regional example, not a complete catalog of past offers.

An Xbox Singapore Deluxe preorder bundle advertised 48-hour early access and additional supplies: one core resource, eight pistol rounds, three shotgun shells, two small health patches, and 1,500 energy, as well as two unique armor skins and digital artbook and soundtrack content. Its listed September 3, 2025 date was two days before the general digital launch. These terms describe that storefront’s bundle; other platforms and territories could have different offers. The Xbox Singapore Deluxe preorder page gives that package’s details.
Those preorder windows have passed. The available listings do not establish that preorder-only entitlements can still be claimed; consult your platform’s current store or purchase history if you need to confirm a specific entitlement.

- ADAPT OR DIE: In a desolate world filled with ever-present danger, your survival hinges on your ability to strategise and plan ahead. You can manipulate temporal anomalies to clear a path through the desolate environment and you will have to scavenge for resources to replenish your limited ammo and supplies.
- DON’T LET THEM MERGE: The creatures you kill won’t stay dead for long. Fallen enemies can be absorbed by others — through a grotesque process called Merging — to become faster, tougher, and far deadlier.
- HARVESTER OF SOULS: Your mission is to locate key people from the past who perished in the ensuing apocalypse. Using your all-powerful Harvester, you can extract their Essences and have them accompany you into the future.
Is there a physical edition?
Boxed availability was announced for selected regions and platforms, not as a universal format. Bandai Namco Europe’s launch announcement described a physical Standard Edition for PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC at major retailers in EMEA and Australia. SEGA Japan separately announced boxed editions for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 in Japan for December 11, 2025, and says Xbox and PC are digital-only in its Japan listing. Bandai Namco Europe’s announcement and SEGA Japan’s release information reflect those regional arrangements; neither is a complete worldwide stock list. Check the local retailer’s listing for the exact platform and whether it is a boxed Standard Edition.
