The same fight unlocks the missable Order Up! trophy, whose listed requirement is “Defeat the chef in the care center in the main story.” Use the key on the Pantry door in the Kitchen.
Where to find the Pantry Key
- Go to the Kitchen in the West Wing of the Rhodes Hill Care Center.
- Defeat the Chef. The Pantry Key is his drop, so collect it after the fight.
- Use the key on the Pantry door inside the Kitchen.
The Pantry is optional for story progression. Guides report that it contains the Stakeout Takeout charm, ammunition and crafting materials, as well as character-specific items.
How to earn the Order Up! trophy
The trophy listing gives the requirement as “Defeat the chef in the care center in the main story.” Killing the Chef in the Care Center encounter satisfies that requirement; opening the Pantry is not listed as part of it. The trophy is described as missable, so defeat the Chef before leaving the Care Center if you want the straightforward, safest opportunity.
Should Grace fight the Chef or leave him for Leon?
| Approach | What it means | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Defeat him as Grace | Grace can use a Hemolytic Injector from stealth for an instant kill, according to a guide; direct combat is also an option. | Gets the key and Pantry rewards earlier, but uses Grace’s supplies if you choose to fight with weapons. |
| Return as Leon | Guides report that if Grace leaves the Chef alive, Leon can return to the Care Center later and defeat him. | Can preserve Grace’s limited resources, but delays access to the Pantry and its contents. |
Neither approach is established as universally better. Combat demands vary by difficulty, so there is no single reliable ammunition count or weapon recommendation for every run. If the trophy is your priority, do not leave the Care Center with the Chef still alive.
