For CS2, choose a mouse whose shape feels secure in your grip before comparing weight or polling rate. The Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 is a strong symmetrical all-rounder, the lighter Razer Viper V3 Pro is another symmetrical option, and the right-handed BenQ ZOWIE EC2-DW suits players seeking an ergonomic shape—if it is available where you shop. None is a guaranteed aim upgrade. Valve describes Counter-Strike 2 as a free upgrade to CS:GO, so the old name remains a common search term, but the current game is CS2: Counter-Strike 2 on Steam.
Which mouse should you get for CS2?
Start with the shell shape and how it fits your hand. The three current-generation choices below cover two broad approaches: symmetrical designs and a right-handed ergonomic design. Among them, the Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 is the most-used in ProSettings’ tracked CS2 gear dataset, but popularity is not evidence that it will fit you or improve your aim.
ProSettings’ guide, updated 8 October 2026, says its dataset includes 941 tracked CS2 players. It records 168 users of the Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 and 76 of the Razer Viper V3 Pro. These are dated gear-tracking counts, not a controlled test or performance ranking: ProSettings’ CS2 mouse guide.

How to choose by shape, grip, and weight
Choose the shape that feels controlled
A symmetrical shell and a right-handed ergonomic shell create different contact points in the hand. Neither is universally best, and the available evidence does not establish a single ideal shape for CS2. If possible, try the mouse in person or buy from a seller with a return policy that lets you assess the fit. Consider whether your fingers and palm feel supported and whether you can make small adjustments without gripping harder than feels natural.

Use weight as a secondary filter
On the listed specifications, the Viper V3 Pro is lighter than the two 60 g alternatives. Weight can help narrow a choice, but a lower number does not settle whether the mouse’s shape suits your hand or play style. Surface and feet feel also affect how a mouse moves across your pad; the cited specifications do not establish a universal preference for either.
Balance wireless preference and price
The G PRO X Superlight 2 uses Logitech LIGHTSPEED wireless. Decide whether wireless convenience matters to you, then compare current local prices and return terms. Prices and stock vary, and no price comparison is established here.

Polling rate and battery life: what the numbers tell you
Polling rate is a configurable report-rate specification, not a standalone promise of better aim. The G PRO X Superlight 2 is listed by Logitech at up to 8,000 Hz; the ZOWIE EC2-DW offers settings through 4,000 Hz. A higher available setting may have battery and hardware considerations, so choose a setting you can use reliably rather than treating the maximum as a requirement.
Logitech states up to 95 hours of constant-motion battery life for the G PRO X Superlight 2; that figure is the manufacturer’s specification, not an independent test. For the ZOWIE EC2-DW, BenQ ZOWIE’s stated estimates vary with report rate: 80 hours at 1 kHz, 30 at 2 kHz, and 24 at 4 kHz. Check the exact edition and included hardware before purchase, particularly for the Viper V3 Pro, whose details can differ by edition.

Is the original Logitech G Pro X Superlight still worth considering?
The original Logitech G Pro X Superlight is a symmetrical predecessor. ProSettings says it is limited to 1,000 Hz and uses Micro-USB, and its 8 October 2026 guide records 67 tracked CS2 users. It may be worth comparing if you find current stock at a meaningfully lower price, but check the seller, condition, and price before choosing it over a newer model. Its tracked-user count is a usage snapshot, not a performance measure.

ProSettings’ tracked counts show that the G PRO X Superlight 2 and Viper V3 Pro appear in the gear choices of some CS2 players. They do not show that either mouse improves aim, nor do they measure comfort, latency, durability, or performance in a controlled comparison. Logitech, Razer, and BenQ ZOWIE specifications likewise describe what each manufacturer lists; they are not independent head-to-head results.
