What Rappa’s build needs to do
Rappa is a five-star Imaginary Erudition character built as a main DPS. Her enhanced Basic Attack hits multiple targets and can reduce Toughness even when an enemy lacks Imaginary Weakness, though that Toughness reduction is halved. That makes Break Effect and Speed central to her build, while enemy weaknesses and the number of targets help determine which alternatives are worthwhile.
The recommendations below reflect HSR Build’s page update of September 26, 2026, and Prydwen’s profile update of May 31, 2026; Prydwen lists Patch 3.8 as its last major build and calculation update. Check the live game for changes introduced after those guide updates. HSR Build’s Rappa guide and Prydwen’s Rappa guide provide the underlying build recommendations.
Best relics and planar ornaments
Default: Iron Cavalry for Super Break
Four-piece Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge is the general damage choice for a traditional Super Break team. Its two-piece effect gives 16% Break Effect. The four-piece effect adds 10% DEF ignore to Break damage at 150% Break Effect, then adds a further 15% DEF ignore to Super Break damage at 250% Break Effect. These thresholds reward Break investment, but they are not a reason to sacrifice every other useful stat.

Alternatives by content and tuning
- Thief of Shooting Meteor: A trade-off that favors energy generation over the standard damage setup. Prydwen particularly recommends it for Pure Fiction or Exo Toughness encounters with many enemies to break, and prefers it there for Rappa.
- Eagle of Twilight Line: Can enable more action-count potential, but its value depends heavily on specific stat tuning rather than serving as a straightforward damage upgrade.
- Two-piece combinations: Mixing Iron Cavalry and Thief is a practical temporary option while farming a complete set.
Planar ornaments
Talia: Kingdom of Banditry is the all-around option if Rappa reaches 145 Speed: it grants 16% Break Effect, plus another 20% at that Speed threshold. Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern is conditional rather than a general replacement; Prydwen says it performs better against Fire-weak enemies and worse against enemies without Fire weakness.

For substats, build Speed until you reach the breakpoint you are targeting, then prioritize Break Effect and ATK%. Prydwen’s endgame guideposts are 145–150+ Speed and 160–240%+ Break Effect before team buffs. They are recommendations rather than minimum requirements, and Prydwen notes that an Energy Regeneration Rate rope may make that Break Effect range unattainable.

Best Light Cones and alternatives

Do not treat Light Cone damage rankings as universal percentages. The reviewed calculations depend on assumptions such as superimposition, team, and target count; Prydwen’s Rappa Light Cone and relic calculations assume three targets.

Rappa / Ruan Mei / Trailblazer (Harmony) / Lingsha is the featured team in HSR Build’s guide. The two Harmony slots supply Break amplification and support, while Lingsha provides sustain and contributes to Break.

Adapt the support slots to your roster
- Harmony Trailblazer is a natural Super Break support.
- Tingyun • Fugue has strong synergy: Prydwen notes that her double-break effect can increase Rappa’s Talent charges and energy.
- The Dahlia can implant Imaginary Weakness, helping Rappa avoid the reduced Toughness damage she deals to targets without Imaginary Weakness.
- A sustain is useful when the encounter calls for one; the exact choice depends on your roster and survival needs.
For a limited roster, keep the team’s function in view: use one or more Break amplifiers, include a character who enables Super Break when that is the team’s plan, and add sustain when needed. The reviewed guides do not establish one best four-character team for every account or encounter.
Trace priority and investment
Prioritize traces in this order: Talent > Ultimate > Basic > Skill. For major traces, the listed order is Ninjutsu Inscription: Sea Echo (A4) > Ninjutsu Inscription: Withered Leaf (A6) > Ninjutsu Inscription: Sky High (A2).

Use the standard Iron Cavalry and Super Break approach as a starting point, then make decisions based on what the fight asks of Rappa. Multi-target Pure Fiction and encounters with many breaks can make Thief of Shooting Meteor’s energy generation more valuable; Fire weakness changes the case for Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern; and a speed-tuned Eagle build is only compelling if its action timing works for your stats. Rappa’s value also varies across Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Apocalyptic Shadow, so a single tier label is not a timeless verdict.
Build rankings and calculated comparisons are patch-sensitive. HSR Build dates its page to September 26, 2026; Prydwen reports a May 31, 2026 profile update and Patch 3.8 as its last major calculation update. The reviewed material does not establish later meta changes, so verify newer character or game updates before treating these recommendations as current for a later patch.
