This guide explains her current listed abilities, practical ways to sequence them, and how to counter her.
Angela’s current stats and role
The official Marvel Rivals Angela hero reference lists her with 350 health and a separate 200-point Regenerative Shield. Her Shielded Stance has its own listed shield value of 350; that stance value is not additional health. The July 2026 balance update changed her distribution from 450 health to 350 health plus a 200 Regenerative Shield, and removed the former 100 bonus health from the Team-Up Anchor.

Her kit combines close-range spear and axe attacks, a stance that absorbs damage and builds Attack Charge, aerial movement, and abilities that can disrupt or support a team. The ability values below are those listed on the official hero reference; balance changes can make them patch-sensitive.

- Build charge without overcommitting. Use Shielded Stance when absorbing incoming damage is worthwhile, and use flight to reposition while it builds charge.
- Choose the entry based on the opening. Use Spear of Ichors for a charged lunge or close in for axe strikes when the target and surrounding space make that trade reasonable.
- Keep a movement option available. Avoid spending every mobility ability just to start a fight. Assassin’s Charge and flight can help select an engagement or leave it.
- Make zone abilities serve the team. Divine Judgement is more useful when allies can fight in its zone. Heven’s Retribution can bind and slow opponents, particularly when their mobility would otherwise let them escape.
What changed in the 2026 balance updates
Angela’s current listed kit reflects two official balance posts. The June 2026 balance post reduced Assassin’s Charge’s cooldown from 6 to 4 seconds, increased Shielded Stance’s value from 300 to 350, raised its recovery from 50 to 60 per second, and adjusted the shield-use interval from 1.5 to 1 second. The subsequent July 2026 balance post changed her from 450 health to 350 health plus a 200 Regenerative Shield and removed the Team-Up Anchor’s 100 bonus health.
Who counters Angela in Marvel Rivals?
A MetaCounter snapshot updated October 5, 2026 lists Devil Dinosaur (10/10), The Thing (8/10), Rogue (8/10), The Punisher (7/10), and Thor (7/10) among its strongest counter examples. These are unofficial ratings, not official rankings or guaranteed matchups. The useful takeaway is the counterplay the page describes: resist or interrupt displacement, ground or restrict Angela’s mobility, and punish her when she has to cross exposed space.

MetaCounter says its ratings derive from external APIs and public match information, may differ from official data, and are adjusted toward 50% based on sample size. Its order and usefulness can shift with patches, player skill, team composition, and mode.

One third-party snapshot offers context, not a verdict: MetaCounter reported a 52.0% Angela win rate across 31,977 recorded matches in an update dated October 5, 2026. The site describes its figures as community match data, not official statistics, and says its estimates are sample-adjusted. No official Angela win-rate figure was found in the cited official sources, so this number should not be read as an official or universal result.

For an individual player, the more useful question is whether Angela’s close-range style fits the team and the match: she has tools to build charge, choose an approach, and create a temporary support zone, but opponents can make exposed entries costly or restrict her mobility.
