Color Category Words
Yellow Sculpture media BRONZE, CLAY, MARBLE, PLASTER
Green Restaurant seating options BANQUETTE, BOOTH, CHAIR, STOOL
Blue Telecom CARRIER, NETWORK, OPERATOR, PROVIDER
Purple Ending in Chinese dynasties BBQING, HOMING, LOHAN, WU-TANG

How the trickiest group works

The purple set relies on wordplay rather than a shared everyday category: each entry ends with a name associated with a Chinese dynasty—Qing, Ming, Han, or Tang. The other groups use more direct associations: sculpture materials, restaurant seating, and telecom terms.

About the date and puzzle number

Connections resets at midnight in the player’s local time zone, so “today” can refer to different dated puzzles depending on where you play. The date here is Sunday, September 27, 2026. TechRadar and PuzzlePage identify it as #1204; Anagrammer gives the same solution but lists a conflicting puzzle number, so #1204 is the best-supported identification.

Connections asks players to sort 16 words into four groups of four. Some puzzles hinge on ordinary meanings, while others use less obvious associations or wordplay; TechRadar characterized this puzzle as easy, which is that guide’s judgment rather than an official rating.
