Yes, either is possible—but Sucker Punch has not announced a new Sly Cooper or inFAMOUS game. In October 2025, studio head Brian Fleming said the next project could continue Ghost or return to Sly. Co-creative director Nate Fox separately said he would like to make more inFAMOUS. Those comments signal possibilities and personal interest, not approval or development of either game.
What Sucker Punch has actually said about its next game
In an October 2, 2025 interview with VGC, Sucker Punch co-founder and studio head Brian Fleming described the choice after Ghost of Yōtei as potentially “continuing Ghost or going back to Sly.” He stressed that the studio values focus and time to iterate, so it can work on only one project at a time.
Fleming also characterized the studio’s pace as getting to make “one about every five years.” That is his rough description of Sucker Punch’s development cadence, not a promised release interval or a forecast for its next game. It does help explain why a return to an older series would be a major project choice rather than something to assume is happening alongside another new game.
How likely is a new Sly Cooper?
Sly Cooper is explicitly among the possibilities Fleming named for the studio’s next direction, but he did not say it had been selected. “Going back to Sly” leaves the form of any return open; it is not a specific announcement of a sequel, remake, or release date.

Fox offered a less formal indicator of internal enthusiasm in a September 2025 rapid-fire interview. As reported by GameSpot, Fox estimated that “10%” of the studio would be excited if its next game after Ghost of Yōtei were a new Sly Cooper. This was his conversational estimate, not the result of a staff poll, and it does not establish that the remaining developers oppose a return.
What Fox’s inFAMOUS comment means
In a July 17, 2025 interview with Game Informer, co-creative director Nate Fox said, “I would love to work on more Infamous. I would love to see a trilogy rerelease,” before noting that Sucker Punch was focused on finishing Ghost of Yōtei.
Rank #2
- Brand new Sly Cooper action adventure featuring Sly and his gang
- Epic boss battles, action elements, and new stealth moves provide a deep gameplay experience
- Humorous time travel storyline and engaging puzzle elements
- A variety of playable characters with unique play styles
That statement is Fox’s expressed preference, not confirmation that the studio plans to make another inFAMOUS game or a rerelease. It also does not establish whether a future project would be a new entry, a collection, or something else: Fox mentioned both more games and a trilogy rerelease as things he would like to see, without announcing either.
How the evidence for the two series compares
| Possible return | What was said | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Sly Cooper | Fleming named “going back to Sly” as one possible direction for the next project in October 2025. | A hypothetical studio direction, not a selected or announced project. |
| inFAMOUS | Fox said in July 2025 that he would like to work on more inFAMOUS and see a trilogy rerelease. | Fox’s personal interest, not studio approval or a development announcement. |
The comments should not be combined into a claim that either series has been greenlit. Fleming was discussing possible next-project directions; Fox was sharing what he would like to work on. Neither statement names a confirmed project or timing.

What the older “no games in development” statement tells us
In July 2022, Sucker Punch said it had no plans to revisit inFAMOUS or Sly Cooper “right now,” and that no games in either series were in development at that time. The statement, reproduced by Game Informer, also said the studio would not rule out reopening those doors later.
That was a status update from 2022, before the 2025 interviews. It is useful historical context, but it does not establish Sucker Punch’s 2026 development slate. The cited 2025 comments likewise do not amount to a later announcement that a legacy-series project has started.

What to play while waiting for news
Ghost of Yōtei is Sucker Punch’s released PlayStation 5 game, which launched on October 2, 2025, according to the Game Informer interview. It is a concrete option from the studio while fans wait, but it is not a substitute for a new Sly Cooper or inFAMOUS game.
