- Theme: “Big talk”
- Theme hint: “Larger than life.”

How the Strands hint system works
Strands uses a six-by-eight grid. Connect adjacent letters horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to form words; you can change direction as you trace a word. Find three valid words that are not theme answers to unlock an in-game hint, which highlights letters in one theme word. On a touchscreen, you can tap or drag through the letters and double-tap the final letter to submit.
The spangram describes the puzzle’s theme and touches two opposite sides of the board; it may be two words, according to Parade’s explanation of the NYT instructions.
