To craft Hefty Fire Pots and Hefty Furnace Pots in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, find their separate Greater Potentate’s Cookbooks, then use one Hefty Cracked Pot and the recipe’s ingredients. Cookbook [1] is in the eastern section of the Scorched Ruins; Cookbook [2] is at the Run-Down Traveler’s Rest. Neither item is listed as a finished pickup in the sources cited here.
Where to find each cookbook
| Pot | Cookbook | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Hefty Fire Pot | Greater Potentate’s Cookbook [1] | On a corpse seated on stone stairs in the eastern section of the Scorched Ruins, Gravesite Plain. |
| Hefty Furnace Pot | Greater Potentate’s Cookbook [2] | At the Run-Down Traveler’s Rest in Gravesite Plain. |
Both locations are in Gravesite Plain. Game8 also identifies the Scorched Ruins and Run-Down Traveler’s Rest as the locations for Cookbooks [1] and [2], respectively: Scorched Ruins cookbook location and Run-Down Traveler’s Rest cookbook location.

What the Hefty Furnace Pot does
The Hefty Furnace Pot’s item description says it can be thrown at an enemy to create a whirlwind of flame. Eldenpedia’s undated item entry reports 370 base Fire Attack Power and says the effect launches human-sized foes into the air; those are reported game-data details, not an independently tested performance comparison. See the Hefty Furnace Pot item entry.
The available item information does not establish that one pot is generally better than the other. Choose based on the effect you want and the ingredients available.
