Warhammer: Vermintide 2 does not support cross-platform multiplayer between PC, PlayStation and Xbox. There are cross-generation exceptions within each console family: PS4 players can play with PS5 players, and Xbox One players can play with Xbox Series X|S players. On PC, the Steam and Epic Games versions have storefront restrictions.
Which platforms can play Vermintide 2 together?
Fatshark’s official platform compatibility guidance documents these combinations:

Cross-generation play means players use different generations of the same console family, such as PS4 and PS5. Cross-platform play means players on different platforms, such as PlayStation and PC, join the same game. Vermintide 2 supports the former in the combinations above, not the latter.
What about different PC stores?
The official guidance specifically says Steam players can only play with Steam owners and that the Epic Games version cannot play with any other platform. It does not spell out every possible PC distribution route or pairing, so check the relevant store and current compatibility guidance rather than assuming that two PC copies will match together.

Can you transfer your progress to another platform?
No. Cross-platform progress transfer is separate from multiplayer compatibility, and Fatshark support says account data cannot be transferred between platforms. In a March 17, 2025 response, support representative FatsharkLev explained that the platforms’ backends are set up differently. A separate response on August 2, 2024, likewise said account-data transfers were not a service Fatshark could offer for Vermintide 2 (2025 support reply; 2024 support reply).

Fatshark community representative Fatshark_Hedge wrote on the official developer forum on June 21, 2018, “Sadly we’ve no immediate plans for crossplatform play on Vermintide 2” (developer forum post). That was a statement about the plans at that time, not a current roadmap. The publisher’s compatibility guidance documents supported combinations but does not provide a development roadmap.
