Plan to play Ghost Recon Breakpoint on the same platform as your friends. Ubisoft’s Free Trial and Friend Pass instructions both require players to use the same platform. Ubisoft’s public support information does not give a complete cross-play chart for the full game, so it does not confirm that PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players can join one another.
What does “cross-platform” mean for Breakpoint?
Cross-play means joining friends who are playing on a different platform. Ubisoft explains that cross-play availability varies by game and platform; that general policy does not establish that Breakpoint supports cross-play. Ubisoft’s cross-play and cross-progression overview describes the general feature, not a Breakpoint-specific guarantee.

The practical answer from Ubisoft’s Breakpoint support pages is to arrange co-op with friends on the same platform. Those pages address the Free Trial and Friend Pass rather than publishing a full-game compatibility matrix.
Can PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players play together?
Ubisoft’s public support information reviewed here does not confirm that PC, PlayStation, and Xbox players can join the same full-game co-op session. It also does not settle every pairing within PC storefronts. Do not assume cross-platform co-op is available based only on Ubisoft’s general description of cross-play.

At launch, Ubisoft listed PC, PS4, and Xbox One and described the campaign as playable solo or with up to four players in co-op. That announcement confirms co-op and launch platforms, but it is not a current cross-play compatibility chart. Ubisoft’s October 4, 2019 launch announcement provides that historical detail.
What are the Free Trial and Friend Pass rules?
Free Trial
Ubisoft’s Free Trial instructions say friends must have the trial installed and play on the same platform. The listed trial platforms are Epic Games Launcher, PlayStation 4, Ubisoft Connect PC, and Xbox One. The same page says console players need an active PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass console subscription to access online features for the Free Trial. Check current platform terms for paid-game subscription requirements rather than applying the trial rule to every edition. Ubisoft’s Breakpoint connectivity and performance support page includes the Free Trial instructions.

Friend Pass
For Friend Pass, Ubisoft likewise instructs players to use the same platform. A host can invite up to three friends at once, and invite options are unavailable during PvP modes. Invited friends need the Free Trial installed. Ubisoft’s Friend Pass information gives these requirements.

Ubisoft described the campaign as playable solo or with up to four players in co-op at launch. The four-player figure describes the campaign group size; it does not indicate that players can mix platforms.
