Where to find Flour Sand
Search open sands in Vermilius Gap for Flour Sand drifts. A community-maintained Dune: Awakening Community Wiki identifies the region and describes Flour Sand as fine sand collected on the open sands. PC Gamer’s June 9, 2025 guide describes deposits as pale patches and says rising white smoke can help you spot them.

That 2025 guide says the deposits are not in the first area of Hagga Basin. Treat that as dated regional guidance, not a guarantee about the current map: locations and progression can change with updates. The available sources do not establish exact, current spawn coordinates.
How to harvest Flour Sand
You can collect Flour Sand by hand, or use a Static Compactor on a deposit. The sources do not provide a reliable current comparison of the two methods’ speed or yield.

Harvest by hand
Approach a Flour Sand drift and use the in-game interaction to gather it. This is the option to use if you have not unlocked or crafted a Static Compactor.
Use a Static Compactor
- Bring a Static Compactor and a charged Power Pack; the tool consumes Power Pack energy.
- Aim at a Flour Sand deposit and fire the compactor.
- Collect the clump that forms at the deposit.
The community wiki’s Static Compactor entry lists its crafting requirements as 10 Iron Ingots and 7 EMF Generators. PC Gamer’s 2025 guide says its schematic unlocks through the second Trial of Aql. Because that unlock route comes from a dated guide, check the current in-game progression if the schematic is not available to you.

Stay alert while gathering on open sand
