No—not yet, according to the latest official update available here. On September 24, 2026, Terraria’s developers said Crossplay Phase One was still being finished and expected “in the near future.” That is an expectation, not confirmation that PC and Xbox players can join the same game now. The official update did not give a release date. This status is current to October 8, 2026.
What PC and Xbox players should know now
The official status update does not confirm that Terraria crossplay between PC and Xbox has launched. Xbox is part of the console rollout, but there is no Xbox-specific launch notice in the latest update reviewed. Wait for an official release announcement and the applicable game update before planning a cross-platform session.

The timing depends in part on console platform-holder review. DR Studios said console crossplay requires cooperation with Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo, and that builds must be submitted for review. The studio’s February 2026 explanation describes that coordination; it does not establish a date for Xbox availability.
How the announced crossplay rollout is supposed to work
Terraria’s developers have described two phases. The connection methods below are planned rollout details, not confirmation that they are currently available for Xbox.

DR Studios described PC, dedicated-server, and mobile crossplay as possible when those releases matched. The planned console addition brings LAN discovery and remote connection by IP address and port to the cross-platform foundation. Remote setup can depend on network and router conditions, so the description is not a guarantee that every connection will work without configuration. See the official rollout explanation.
Which update is Crossplay Phase One?
The developers identified Terraria 1.4.6 as Crossplay Phase One. In the September 2026 status update, they said they planned to move to 1.4.6 after version 1.4.5.7 was stable on console and mobile, and that Phase One was still being finished. The update did not announce that 1.4.6 had shipped or that PC–Xbox crossplay was live. Check the official September 2026 status update.

What to check before arranging a PC–Xbox session
- Look for a newer official Terraria announcement confirming Crossplay Phase One has been released.
- Check that the relevant PC and Xbox versions are supported and compatible in the release notes.
- Follow the connection instructions for the released version. The planned Phase One method may require LAN discovery or the host’s IP address and port; do not assume the later session-ID or join-code method is available.
The available official updates do not provide a complete set of final Xbox-specific instructions. Until a release notice and platform guidance are published, the announced connection details should not be treated as steps you can already use on Xbox.
