Which platforms have Crusader Kings III?
Paradox Interactive lists Steam, Microsoft, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5 as purchase platforms on its Crusader Kings III product page. Paradox’s March 2022 console announcement confirms releases for Xbox Series X|S and PS5. These listings establish that the game has PC and console editions; they do not establish that those editions can play together online.
Can PC, Xbox, and PlayStation players play together?
The official Paradox materials reviewed do not provide a crossplay matrix or a direct statement confirming that players on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation can share multiplayer sessions. They also do not directly state that crossplay is unavailable. The accurate answer is therefore that cross-platform multiplayer is unconfirmed by these sources—not a definitive yes or no.
Compatibility between PC storefronts, between console platforms, and between PC and console are separate questions. The platform listings do not answer any of them. Paradox’s platform support page, updated June 9, 2025, separates PC and console support categories, but does not itself confirm multiplayer compatibility.

Does buying the game on one platform give you another edition?
No platform-to-platform purchase transfer is promised in the general guidance from the Paradox Interactive Helpdesk. Its article, “Can I transfer my DLC/switch platform?”, updated March 31, 2024, says: “A purchase cannot be transferred from one platform to another”. The article uses another Paradox game as an example, so treat this as general purchase-transfer guidance, not a CK3-specific statement about cross-save or multiplayer.
What do PS5 players need for online play?
The PlayStation Store listing for the PS5 Standard Edition says PS Plus is required for online play and lists support for up to 12 online players. These are PS5 storefront details only; they do not confirm crossplay or establish requirements for other platforms.
