Stray — a cat’s-eye adventure
Explore a decaying cybercity as a stray cat, interacting with the environment, sneaking past threats, and investigating a mystery with help from the drone B-12. Its appeal lies in making exploration feel grounded in the protagonist’s feline perspective rather than simply giving a human-shaped hero cat visuals. Untitled Goose Game — mischief in a village
House House’s official premise says it plainly: “It’s a lovely morning in the village, and you are a horrible goose.” Play a stealthy nuisance, interrupting villagers’ routines and causing comic chaos. This is the lightest, most immediately legible pick here, and a natural choice for players who want mischief rather than a dramatic animal survival story. Want a more serious animal survival story?
Consider Endling: Extinction is Forever as an alternative to one of the lighter or more anthropomorphic picks. Nintendo describes it as an eco-conscious adventure seen through the last fox on Earth: as a mother fox, you protect, feed, and guide your cubs through dangerous environments. That fox-and-cubs survival premise gives it a markedly more serious emotional focus. Nintendo’s Canadian Switch listing gives a July 19, 2022 release date: Nintendo Canada’s Endling listing.
