How to earn Ethereal Stars
- Open the Sea of Stars and complete its daily Starlit Moments tasks. The Version 1.5 update identifies these tasks as a source of Ethereal Stars: official Version 1.5 update notice.
- Explore the Sea of Stars. Exploration is another source named in the same update.
- Check Heart of Infinity for the current acquisition details. The Version 1.8 update says detailed methods are visible in that interface: official Version 1.8 update notice.
Where to spend Ethereal Stars
Use Ethereal Stars in Heart of Infinity toward the Sea of Stars Miracle Outfit. The official Version 1.5 notice identifies this as their use: official Version 1.5 update notice.
Tell the Sea of Stars collectibles apart
Ethereal Stars, Starlit Crystals, and Starlit Shards are separate collectibles, not alternate names for the same currency. Ethereal Stars go toward the Sea of Stars Miracle Outfit through Heart of Infinity. Starlit Crystals are used in the Starlit Shop for rewards including co-op items, actions, and clothing. What to know about the current route
The Version 1.6 update reports that the Starlit Moments task type and collection route were optimized: official Version 1.6 update notice. That change, alongside the Version 1.8 interface guidance, means an older guide may not match the current route.

They also do not establish that ringing the Starbell directly awards Ethereal Stars; its presence as an interactive feature is not enough to confirm that reward.
