What GO Battle League rewards are available?
Rewards include items and Pokémon encounters earned within a set, guaranteed encounters associated with rank-ups, and rewards for finishing the season. The precise set reward sequence and rank requirements can vary by season, so use the current in-game reward track and season announcement rather than assuming a fixed sequence.

Season encounter pool
The Twilight Trails announcement lists these standard GO Battle League reward encounters: Vulpix, Bellsprout, Swablu, Inkay, Mareanie, Hisuian Voltorb, Audino, Snorlax, Dratini, Beldum, male Frillish, Honedge, Mimikyu, Cramorant, Morpeko, and a surprise Legendary Pokémon encounter. Shiny encounters may be possible. The season also includes once-per-season guaranteed rank-up encounters: Toxtricity (Low Key Form), Dondozo, Kingdra, Duraludon, and Pikachu Libre.
The announcement’s rank thresholds are shown in an image rather than its text, so no specific rank requirement for those encounters is stated here. Check the image in Niantic’s season announcement or the current game interface for the threshold that applies.
Rank #2
- 3 complete Pokémon TCG decks (60 cards each)
- Each deck includes a powerful special Pokémon: Cinderace V, Pikachu V, or Eevee V
- Eevee deck includes 2 copies of an all-new promo card featuring Galarian Obstagoon
- 1 instruction sheet to help you set up to play
- 2 tutorial guides to lead you through the decks
Season Timed Research and avatar items
A free GO Battle League Timed Research pass becomes available in the in-game shop once the season begins. It tracks victories across the season. Its first page requires catching Pokémon and offers encounters intended to help build a team; each later page requires 100 battles and 50 wins, with Stardust and items that include Rare Candy XL, an Elite Fast TM, and an Elite Charged TM. The season announcement also lists Ryme-inspired avatar rewards at Ranks 10, 15, 20, and Legend.
End-of-season rewards
All players who participate receive end-of-season rewards, and a higher finishing rank brings better rewards. Niantic does not give a single fixed reward list for every season on its general help page; the Battle screen’s Current Season section shows the relevant season details and end date.
Rank #3
- The Pokémon TCG: Mega Lucario ex League Battle Deck contains 1 ready-to-play 60-card deck, 6 damage-counter dice, and 1 coin-flip die.
- This also comes with 2 coin condition markers, a deck box, and a strategy sheet.
- You will also get a code card to play this deck online.
How do Basic and Premium rewards differ?
Before starting a set, choose Basic or Premium Rewards. A win unlocks a reward within the chosen track. Basic rewards do not require a pass; Premium Rewards require exchanging a Premium Battle Pass. The actual reward sequence is season-specific, so compare the options shown in-game against what you want from that set rather than assuming the Premium track is always the better choice.
A Premium Battle Pass is an in-game item, not a GO Battle League-only pass: it can also be used to enter Raid Battles. Niantic says it can be bought in the in-game Shop with PokéCoins or earned through certain Special Research tasks. See Niantic’s Premium Battle Pass explanation for its uses and acquisition options.
Rank #4
- The Pokémon TCG Battle Academy includes everything two players need to play, with guides to the decks so your first game is easy to follow.
- You can choose from 3 complete Pokémon TCG decks (60 cards each). Each deck includes a powerful special Pokémon: Armarouge ex, Pikachu ex, or Darkrai ex.
- All-new promo cards enter the arena: 4 Mareep, 3 Flaaffy, 2 Ampharos, 4 Pawniard, 3 Bisharp, 2 Kingambit, 1 Miraidon, and 6 Picnicker.
- Includes 1 instruction sheet to help you set up to play, 2 tutorial guides to lead you through the decks, 3 deck boxes to keep the cards organized, 1 set of damage counters, and 1 large metallic coin featuring Armarouge, Pikachu, and Darkrai.
- You will also find 1 two-player game board, 1 rulebook, and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live.
What are the upcoming cup rules?
Restrictions apply to the specific cup, not automatically to every league in the same rotation. The Twilight Trails announcement lists these rules for the upcoming formats:
- Little Cup: Pokémon must have 500 CP or less, be able to evolve, and have not evolved.
- Fantasy Cup: Great League Edition: Pokémon must have 1,500 CP or less and be Dragon-, Steel-, or Fairy-type.
- Mega Halloween Cup: Great League Edition: Pokémon must have 1,500 CP or less and be Bug-, Poison-, Ghost-, Dark-, or Fairy-type. Mega-Evolved Pokémon are allowed.
- 2026 GO LAIC Cup: Pokémon must have 1,500 CP or less. Fire-, Dark-, Steel-, and Fairy-type Pokémon are excluded, as are Legendary Pokémon, Mythical Pokémon, and Ultra Beasts. Mega-Evolved Pokémon are not allowed in the GO Battle League version.
- Mega Catch Cup: Great League Edition: Pokémon must have 1,500 CP or less and have been caught during Twilight Trails, from September 8 at 1:00 p.m. through December 1 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time. Mythical Pokémon are excluded; Mega-Evolved Pokémon are allowed.
Confirm a cup’s eligibility rules in the current announcement or in-game before building a team, since restrictions are cup-specific and can be revised.
