Use the Secret Garden Key on a standard locked door that leads to a non-corner tile on the east or west edge of the mansion, at ranks 3 through 8. If the placement is valid, the door drafts the Secret Garden immediately instead of offering the normal room choice, and the key is consumed.
How to use the Secret Garden Key
- Approach a standard locked door and open its unlock prompt.
- Select the Secret Garden Key from the special-key menu.
- Check that the door leads to an eligible destination: an east or west outer-edge tile at ranks 3–8, excluding corners.
- Use the key. If the position qualifies, the Secret Garden is drafted immediately, without the ordinary room draw. The key disappears from your inventory and is not returned to the item pool. Blue Prince Wiki: Secret Garden Key
Why does the key say “THE KEY DOES NOT FIT”?
The door leads to a position where the Secret Garden cannot be placed. The Blue Prince Wiki rules out Rank 2, corner positions, Great Hall side doors, and Studio Addition Vestibule doors. Where can you find the key?
Possible sources listed by the Blue Prince Wiki include the Attic, Music Room, Lost & Found floorplan, Locksmith shop (for 8), trunks, rare dig spots, and the Billiard Room dartboard puzzle. These are possible finds, not guaranteed spawns in every run. Blue Prince Wiki: Secret Garden Key
Why the key matters
