Spoilers: This guide covers major campaign encounters and an alternate-ending scene. PCGamesN lists eight bosses in Resident Evil Requiem: The Girl, Chunk, Titan Spinner, Tyrant T-501, Super Tyrant (T-501), Plant 43, The Commander, and Victor (Mutated). That is one guide’s count, not an official Capcom roster; guides group some encounters differently. The strategies below are attributed to the guides rather than presented as firsthand testing.

The encounters differ: some are direct fights, one is primarily a pursuit, and Chunk depends on the route. The two T-501 entries are separate encounters, not alternate names for the same fight.

What counts as a boss in Requiem?
There is no single official count established by Capcom in the cited material. PCGamesN explicitly counts eight entries, while GameSpot organizes encounters differently: it includes Blister Borne in its boss sections and presents Mr. X/Super Tyrant together. GameSpot also describes Chunk in distinct Grace and Leon situations. Because the guides use different taxonomies, the roster above follows PCGamesN’s explicit count rather than silently combining lists.
Chunk depends on your route
Chunk is the clearest route-dependent case. Grace can eliminate him early with three hemolytic injectors; if that does not happen, Leon fights him in the attic. His appearance in a guide’s list can therefore reflect which character’s route or encounter description it emphasizes.

Zeno’s alternate-ending scene is not another playable fight
GameSpot says Leon’s battle with Zeno in the game’s other ending is shown in a cutscene. That ending-specific scene helps explain why Zeno may appear in boss discussions, but it is not an additional conventional playable encounter in the eight-entry roster.
How the encounters differ
- Combat versus evasion: Tyrant T-501 is described as a pursuit sequence; Super Tyrant (T-501) is the distinct fight that follows in PCGamesN’s roster.
- Environmental openings: The Girl’s floodlight stun and Plant 43’s opening flower give you moments to act on a vulnerability rather than simply attacking continuously.
- Weak points: PCGamesN calls out Titan Spinner’s orange rear cluster, the Super Tyrant’s exposed heart, and Plant 43’s opened flower.
- Parries and positioning: The Super Tyrant and The Commander reward attention to parry opportunities, while The Commander’s reduced visibility in phase two makes close-range awareness more important.
- Recurring threat versus final encounter: The Girl appears repeatedly as a threat, while Victor (Mutated) is identified as the final boss.
Game context
Capcom describes Resident Evil Requiem as the ninth main installment in the series and a survival-horror game. It launched on February 27, 2026. Capcom’s initial release announcement named PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC; its March 2026 release and sales announcement also lists Nintendo Switch 2. Capcom says players can choose from multiple difficulty settings and switch between first- and third-person perspectives in real time. The game features FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy, whose sections provide contrasting player experiences. These official details offer context, but do not define a boss-count standard.
