How to spare Glyde
- Choose ACT, then select Applaud.
- Applaud Glyde a second time.
- Choose Nothing three times to complete the sparing sequence.
Alternatively, after the two Applauds, choose Nothing twice and then Boo. These sequences are listed by the Undertale Wiki, a community-maintained guide; they are not documented here as independently tested.
Where to find Glyde
Glyde is an optional miniboss in Snowdin, encountered in the cave beyond the mysterious door. Enter the cave and move around for at least two minutes to trigger the encounter, according to the Undertale Wiki.
When the encounter is available
The encounter’s availability depends on route progress and prior kills. The guide describes different timing conditions for a no-kill path and a path where at least one monster has been killed, with both tied to progression around the Papyrus event and Snowdin’s kill counter. Because the exact window varies, try for Glyde before advancing beyond the relevant Papyrus event.

Why Spare may not work immediately
Undertale’s general Spare command works when a monster’s name is colored; if it is not colored, choosing Spare usually skips a turn. Glyde’s listed ACT sequence is the way to make the encounter sparable, rather than repeatedly selecting Spare before the condition is met. See the Undertale Wiki’s Spare guide.
