The active encounters are in Chapters 1, 5, and 7; Chapters 6 and 8 are Journal advances. Chapter 1 lets you choose between Tricephalos and Darkdrift Knight, while Chapter 5 requires sitting on a Garden bench to enter the Corrosion encounter.
How to start Revenant’s Remembrance
After Revenant is available, defeat any Nightlord with any character. Game8 says this unlocks Revenant’s Chapter 1 Journal entry. Go to the east wing of Roundtable Hold, open the Journal, select the eligible entry, and choose Begin Remembrance. This transports you to a past version of the Hold, where characters provide personal objectives. The official Bandai Namco and Future Press starter guide explains this Journal process and notes that personal objective events are not guaranteed to appear in every online multiplayer session, even when their conditions are met.

Chapter 1: Obtain the Blade of Night Fragment
- In the Remembrance, speak with the Duchess and exhaust her dialogue.
- Find the Guardian and speak to them twice, until the option Speak of your request appears. Choose it.
- During the associated Expedition, defeat either Tricephalos or Darkdrift Knight. These are alternative targets; you only need to defeat one.
- Obtain the Blade of Night Fragment, then return to the Guardian and conclude the Remembrance.
Game8 lists the Small Makeup Brush as the Chapter 1 reward.
Chapters 2–4: Advance the Journal
After Chapter 1, open the Journal to access Chapters 2–4, according to Game8. Its Chapter 5 unlock information specifies reading Chapter 4 before starting Chapter 5. The available walkthrough does not give additional active objectives for Chapters 2–4.

Chapter 5: Enter the Corrosion encounter
- Begin the Chapter 5 Remembrance from the Journal.
- Speak to the Duchess twice and select Ask about the Night’s corrosion.
- Find the Recluse beside a bench on the Garden path and speak with her.
- Sit on the bench when prompted. This starts the encounter area.
- When Corrosion’s health bar appears, enemies attack and self-destruct as you approach. Their explosions damage Corrosion. Move near them and dodge until the health bar reaches zero.
- Examine the doll, return to the Garden, and speak to the Recluse again.
- Conclude the Remembrance behind the bench.
Game8 lists Revenant’s Chalice as the reward for this chapter.
Chapter 6: Complete the Journal entry
Chapter 6 unlocks after Chapter 5. Open the Journal and complete the entry; Game8 describes this as a Journal advance rather than an active encounter.
Chapter 7: Complete the Contaminant objective
A Nightlord defeat unlocks Chapter 7, according to Game8. Begin the Remembrance and complete the Contaminant objective. The available walkthrough identifies the final encounter but does not provide its individual interactions or combat steps, so follow the objective prompts in-game rather than relying on unverified micro-steps. The listed rewards are a Remembrance cosmetic and Old Portrait.

Chapter 8: Finish the Remembrance sequence
After Chapter 7, open the Journal and complete the automatically unlocked final entry. Game8 describes Chapter 8 as a Journal advance.
