When was the 20% Steam Deck LCD discount available?
TechRadar reported the 20% discount on the 256GB LCD model on November 25, 2025. Its report indicated the offer had ended by December 1, 2025. That was a time-limited promotion, not evidence of a current Black Friday price: TechRadar’s 2025 report.
Separately, KOMODO announced a 20% discount for customers in Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Taiwan from September 22 through October 7, 2025, Japan Standard Time. That regional promotion also ended: KOMODO’s announcement.
Neither report establishes the LCD model’s October 2026 price, stock, or availability in any region. Check your local Steam or authorized retailer listing for the live price and sale terms; don’t assume a past discount has returned.

What does the Steam Deck LCD 256GB offer?
Valve lists these specifications for the LCD model. They are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results: Valve’s Steam Deck technical specifications.
- Display: 7-inch, 1280 × 800 optically bonded IPS LCD, with a 60Hz refresh rate and typical brightness of 400 nits.
- Storage: 256GB NVMe built-in storage.
- Battery: 40Wh, with Valve’s stated gameplay range of 2–8 hours. Actual runtime varies with the game and settings; that range is not a hands-on test result.
- Wireless: Bluetooth 5.0.
- Charging: 45W USB-C power supply with a 1.5m cable.
- Expandable storage: UHS-I microSD support for SD, SDXC, and SDHC cards.
What should you compare before buying?
Start with current regional price and stock. The 2025 reports do not show whether the LCD model is currently available where you live, and they do not establish an October 2026 price. If multiple options are listed, compare the factors that affect your purchase:

- Open the Steam Deck listing for your country or region and confirm the model is specifically the LCD version with 256GB storage.
- Check the displayed price, currency, seller, and whether the discount is active at checkout. A headline or old sale report is not proof of a current offer.
- Confirm stock and the listed condition—new or certified refurbished—along with the terms shown for that listing.
- If comparing models or adding storage or a dock, check each item’s compatibility, availability, and total current cost separately.
