Sunset Treasures was a limited-time Monopoly GO digging event in which players spent pickaxe tokens to uncover artifact shapes on a grid. It ran at least twice in 2024, with different rewards each time: the March edition ended with a Wild Sticker, while the July rerun offered a different track and no Wild Sticker in its reported rewards. Both lists below are historical, not a current event schedule.
How Sunset Treasures worked
Players used pickaxes to tap tiles on each level’s grid and uncover the artifact pattern. Clearing a board advanced the milestone track and awarded its listed prize. The Escapist compared finding the required shapes to bingo or Battleship. The reward details below come from secondary gaming guides, not a publisher announcement.
March 2024 Sunset Treasures rewards
The Escapist reported that this edition ran from March 18 at 12 a.m. ET through March 22, 2024, and had 20 milestones. Its guide based the list on the author’s experience and a cross-check with the Monopoly GO Wiki. Board dimensions and rewards are listed as reported; unspecified cash amounts and sticker-pack ratings are not provided.

Adding the dice amounts shown in The Escapist’s milestone list gives 5,350 dice rolls across those rewards. This is a calculation from that list, not a separately reported event statistic.

July 2024 Sunset Treasures rerun rewards
Dexerto and Pocket Tactics reported a rerun from July 4 to July 8, 2024. Dexerto listed 20 milestones and reported 5,075 dice rolls in total. This table follows Dexerto’s reward names; Pocket Tactics reported the same general progression but omitted sticker-pack colors and some total detail.

What changed between the two editions?
The reported reward tracks are not interchangeable. The March list totals 5,350 dice rolls by summing its listed dice prizes and places a Wild Sticker at milestone 20. Dexerto reported 5,075 dice for July, with a Magenta sticker pack and cash at the final milestone instead. The cosmetic prizes also differ: March lists a Saharan Sapphire Shield and Egyptian Hippo token, while July lists a Scarab Sentinel shield skin and Pharaoh Scottie board token.

How players earned pickaxes and used them
Pickaxe sources varied by edition. The Escapist’s March guide lists ongoing event and tournament milestones, Quick Wins, the digging mini-game, and other activities. Dexerto’s July account lists events, tournaments, Quick Wins, and Free Gifts; it also says unused pickaxes converted into dice after that event.
Dexerto’s practical tip is to use the visible artifact silhouettes and cleared tiles to infer where remaining pieces may fit. This can help narrow down where to tap, but it is a deduction aid rather than a guaranteed or proven optimal strategy.

The two reward schedules documented here are for 2024. They do not establish that Sunset Treasures is currently running or announce a future date. Because event rewards can change between runs, treat these tables as historical records rather than a live-event guide.
