No. You can ride a bear in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but you cannot register it at a stable or keep it there as a permanent mount. Riding a creature and registering it are separate things.
Can you ride a bear in Tears of the Kingdom?
Yes. Bears are among the non-horse creatures Link can mount and ride. That ride is temporary: being able to mount a bear does not add it to the stable roster or let you retrieve it later.
Why can’t you register a bear?
The stable registration system is for horses, not bears. GameSpot and Zelda Dungeon both identify bears as mounts that cannot be registered. Nintendo’s Explorer’s Guide describes the process for horses: befriend a wild horse, take it to a stable, and register and name it. It says players can register up to five horses; it does not describe bear registration. The specific bear exclusion comes from the mount references, rather than an explicit rule in the cited Nintendo guide.
What to do if you want a mount you can keep
Tame a horse and take it to a stable to register it. Once registered, it becomes part of your stable roster. A bear can still be a fun mount to ride in the moment, but the available references identify no bear-accepting stable or special method for adding one to your roster.
