Transcendent Sigil Stones come from the main tower inside an Oblivion Gate. There is no verified single gate that guarantees this tier or a particular enchantment. To improve your chance of finding one, wait until level 17 before closing gates; that threshold is reported by a Nexus Mods description of the game’s default leveled list, not confirmed by an official Bethesda Remastered guide.
Where to get Transcendent Sigil Stones
Enter an Oblivion Gate and make your way through its main tower to the Sigil Stone. The available Game8 guide identifies the main tower as the source of Sigil Stones and says their effects are not tied to a particular location. Its available search excerpt does not establish a named gate or a guaranteed effect, so there is no supported gate-specific location to target.
- Reach level 17 if your priority is the reported Transcendent tier.
- Enter an Oblivion Gate and progress through its main tower.
- Activate the Sigil Stone to collect it, then close the gate.
Sigil Stones are used from the Inventory Menu to create enchanted items, according to the original Oblivion manual. That manual explains the item’s basic role; it does not establish Remastered-specific stone values.
What level do Transcendent Sigil Stones appear?
A Nexus Mods page by i3ncore says, “Highest quality Sigil Stones (transcendent) spawn at level 17 by default.” This makes level 17 the best-supported practical threshold, but the claim comes from a mod author’s technical description of the default leveled list, not an official Bethesda statement about Remastered. The page describes Transcendent as the highest quality tier.

How to reach level 17
Bethesda Support explains that character levels advance through increases to Major and Minor Skills. When the bronze level-up indicator appears, sleep to complete the level-up. Follow Bethesda’s leveling instructions for the Remastered game.

Bethesda also warns that enemies scale with character level. Developing noncombat skills without keeping combat skills ready can leave your character poorly prepared as enemies grow stronger, so plan your skill progress alongside the wait for level 17.
