What is UFO 50?
UFO 50 is a collection of 50 games published by Mossmouth. Rather than presenting them as unrelated retro-style experiments, the collection frames them as releases from a fictional 1980s game company. The games share a fictional universe, with recurring characters and sequels that reward players who notice connections between titles. The Nintendo US store listing also identifies Mossmouth as the developer.

Can you buy a physical Switch edition?
A physical Switch edition was available for preorder through Fangamer when GamesRadar reported on it on 7 August 2025. That report described a retro-style guide with maps and artwork. It is a dated account, not confirmation of current stock, price, or availability in any particular region. Check the retailer listing for the edition and its contents before ordering; the Nintendo US listing confirms the Switch software, not current physical-edition inventory.
Who made UFO 50?
Mossmouth publishes the collection. The official site names Derek Yu, Jon Perry, Eirik Suhrke, Paul Hubans, Ojiro Fumoto, and Tyriq Plummer on the team. The concept of a fictional 1980s studio gives the collection its connective tissue: its variety is part of the premise, but the games also belong to a shared invented history.
