Ubisoft’s UNO Show ‘Em No Mercy is paid DLC for its digital UNO game, released October 21, 2025. It adds a tougher ruleset with a 25-card elimination limit, two ways to win, stacking, and six action cards. A separate base-game patch released the same day and revamped the interface while adding customization and smoother-play features.
What does Ubisoft’s UNO Show ‘Em No Mercy update add?
The add-on changes how a round can unfold: players may win by emptying their hand or by being the last player left after opponents are eliminated. Ubisoft’s October 21, 2025 launch explainer states: “If a player has 25 or more cards in their hand, they are out of the game.” The new rules make drawing penalties and hand size especially consequential.
Four distinctive rules
- Draw Until You Can Play: If you have no matching card, keep drawing until you can play.
- 7’s Swap: When you play a 7, swap hands with a player of your choice.
- 0’s Pass: When you play a 0, every player passes their hand in the current direction.
- Stacking: A +2, +4, +6, or +10 Draw Card can be answered with another Draw Card of equal or greater value. The penalty accumulates for the next player until someone cannot continue.
Six action cards
- Discard All: Discard every card in your hand that matches the card’s color.
- Skip Everyone: Skip the other players and take another turn.
- Wild Reverse Draw 4: Reverse play direction; the next player in the new direction draws four cards and loses a turn.
- Wild Draw 6: The next player draws six cards and loses a turn.
- Wild Draw 10: The next player draws ten cards and loses a turn.
- Wild Color Roulette: The next player names a color, then draws until revealing a card of that color. They add all cards revealed during the draw to their hand and lose a turn.
Ubisoft describes stacking as applying to Draw Cards. Its launch explanation does not say that every penalty effect can be stacked, so the rule should not be generalized beyond those cards.
How the DLC differs from the same-day base-game patch
Show ‘Em No Mercy is the paid mode add-on. Ubisoft separately announced a patch to the base game on October 21, 2025, describing it as a UI revamp with features for smoother gameplay and more customization. The announcement does not itemize the interface changes, so it does not support a more specific patch checklist.

Ubisoft’s current UNO page lists the base game’s release date as August 16, 2016, and includes Show ‘Em No Mercy among its additional content. That page also showed a newer FLEX! DLC announcement when accessed, so Show ‘Em No Mercy is an earlier add-on rather than the newest announced UNO content.
Launch date, platforms, and purchase compatibility

Rank #2
- UNO Show 'em No Mercy game adds 56 more cards, special rules and super-tough action cards for the most brutal edition of UNO ever!
- Tougher action cards, such as Skip Everyone, Wild Draw 6 and even Wild Draw 10 make game play merciless!
- The Stacking Rule lets players pass the penalty (Draw +2, +4, +6, +10) to the next player until whoever can't play has to take all the cards combined!
- Whenever a '7' or a '0' card is played, players must swap hands with another player!
- The Mercy Rule means that if any player gets 25+ cards in their hand, they are out of the game!
PC buyers: match the DLC storefront to the base game
Ubisoft says PC DLC purchased on Ubisoft.com or Ubisoft Connect works only with the base game purchased through those Ubisoft platforms—not a copy bought from another retailer or resale platform. PC play also requires a Ubisoft account and Ubisoft Connect. Confirm where your base game is registered before buying the add-on.
PlayStation online play
The US PlayStation Store listing says online play requires PS Plus and supports up to four online players with PS Plus. It also lists accessibility features. The store showed 4.19 out of 5 from 42 ratings when accessed on October 8, 2026; that is a dated US PlayStation Store snapshot, not a cross-platform rating or broad review consensus.

Digital DLC versus Mattel’s physical Show ‘Em No Mercy
Ubisoft’s digital mode and Mattel’s tabletop products are separate. Mattel’s official instruction sheet describes a physical Show ‘Em No Mercy expansion containing 24 cards and 6 coins; the sheet does not state a year. It says the pieces are designed to be combined with the UNO Show ‘Em No Mercy card game and cannot be played alone. The expansion is therefore for owners of that physical core game, not a bundle or unlock for Ubisoft’s digital DLC.
Mattel’s instructions also say special graphic symbols were added to the physical expansion cards to help players with any form of color blindness identify colors. That information applies to the physical cards and does not establish accessibility features for Ubisoft’s digital DLC.
