During the Uncovered Caches map condition, look for red, flag-like arrow markers and listen for a low whirring sound with higher-pitched ticking. The condition rotates, so check Embark’s live map-conditions schedule and select your server region before you deploy. Cache positions vary, and exposed caches can explode if left too long—search efficiently and excavate promptly.
What the Uncovered Caches condition changes
Uncovered Caches is a rotating map condition, not a permanent feature of every match. The official Embark map-conditions schedule lists active and upcoming conditions and provides a server-region selector. Choose your region to see the schedule relevant to your server; map assignments and times can change, so the live page is more useful than a copied schedule.
The ARC Raiders Wiki describes Uncovered Caches as significantly increasing the number of Raider Caches and increasing the value of their loot. That description is community-maintained, rather than a mechanics explanation on Embark’s schedule page. It does not establish a fixed cache count or guarantee a particular item drop.
How to find Raider Caches
Use the visual marker
Scan the ground and nearby debris for short red signs resembling flags, often painted with arrows that point toward a cache. They can be difficult to pick out in dense foliage or cluttered terrain, so check the area around a marker rather than expecting the cache to be immediately visible. The ARC Raiders Wiki’s Uncovered Caches entry describes these markers as a typical clue, not a guarantee that every cache will be easy to spot.

Listen for the sound cue
A low whirling sound combined with higher-pitched ticking can help you narrow down a cache’s position, according to the same wiki. Treat sound as a search aid: ambient noise and your surroundings may make it hard to hear, and the available descriptions do not establish that every cache produces a clearly audible cue.
Search the ground deliberately
When you enter an area, sweep likely patches of exposed or disturbed earth and follow visible arrows. If you hear the sound cue, use it to focus your search while checking nearby terrain for a marker. Avoid spending too long searching one small patch when neither clue is clear; move on and keep scanning.

Reported search areas by map
A U4N guide updated 7 October 2026 names Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Acerra Spaceport, and The Blue Gate as maps to search. It also says exact spawn points vary. The terrain suggestions below are broad places to inspect from that third-party guide, not verified coordinates or guaranteed spawn locations.
| Map | Broad areas the guide suggests checking | Practical search consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Dam Battlegrounds | Slopes near collapsed concrete, dam edges with debris, and shallow dirt patches near broken walkways. | Use the terrain suggestions as starting points, then look for markers and listen as you move; they do not define a fixed route. |
| Buried City | Open, sand-covered plazas; gaps between collapsed buildings; and sunken streets showing storm damage. | U4N says visual markers may be easier to spot here than audio cues because of ambient noise. This is a guide’s observation, not a measured comparison. |
| Acerra Spaceport | Not stated by the U4N guide. | Do not assume a particular search area or cache position from the map name alone. |
| The Blue Gate | Not stated by the U4N guide. | Do not assume a particular search area or cache position from the map name alone. |
The suggestions for Dam Battlegrounds and Buried City come from U4N’s Raider Cache location guide, published 15 January 2026 and updated 7 October 2026. The available coverage does not establish a tested best map or route. Audio clarity, marker visibility, travel distance, and a safe way out are useful factors to consider when choosing where to search, but they are not ranked performance results.

Excavate promptly and plan your exit
ARC Raiders Hub says exposed caches can explode if left untouched too long; other coverage describes them as rigged to explode after exposure. The available sources do not establish a reliable timer, so do not count on a specific number of seconds. Once you locate a cache, excavate promptly and avoid leaving it exposed while continuing to search the area. Think about your next move and a safe exit before stopping to dig.

ARC Raiders Hub’s interactive map page links to maps for Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Spaceport, and The Blue Gate. It can help you orient yourself, but the linked page does not establish that every Raider Cache spawn is marked. Pair any map reference with the in-game arrow and sound cues, and expect cache positions to vary.
