What each choice does
This decision comes after the encounter with Benny. Katsumi represents the Anarch side; Ryong is associated with the Court. Paradox describes Seattle as having been dominated by the Camarilla for a century, with a Prince-led Court that includes a Sheriff. It also calls Benny “the attack-dog of the Court, the enforcer, the bruiser, the bone-breaker.” That context makes the handoff a faction signal, not proof of a particular ending outcome. Paradox’s Court diary describes Ryong as pragmatic and focused on stability.

Does the Benny choice affect the ending?
That is not established by the available guides. The Game Slayer guide, updated September 12, 2026, says there is no long-term story difference and describes the variation as mainly dialogue and character reactions. The Filibuster Blog guide, dated October 21, 2025, says the decision affects future gameplay events. Neither is an official branch guide, and the walkthrough documents the Ryong route rather than a full comparison of both paths. The Filibuster Blog guide therefore should not be treated as confirmation of a specific consequence.
Paradox’s explanation of dialogue choices offers useful context, but not a branch-specific answer: options are “(carefully) paraphrased speech.” Senior Narrative Designer and Writer Sarah Longthorne says players should have information about their selected option and feel confident in their choice, while actors can follow the directive playfully.
