Void-Powered Invoker’s Vambraces are a level 50 cloth wrist item in WoW Classic: Season of Discovery that requires Engineering 250 to equip. To craft them, complete Waking the Nightmare, learn the recipe from the Shadowy Figure in Moonglade, and combine five types of materials—including the base Void-Powered Vambraces, a reward from The Bad News….
What do Void-Powered Invoker’s Vambraces do?
The vambraces are an item level 55 cloth wrist item. Their value combines spell damage and healing with a short, situational defense against Fear.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Required character level | 50 |
| Required profession skill to equip | Engineering 250 |
| Armor | 37 |
| Attributes | +8 Intellect, +7 Stamina |
| Spell damage and healing | Up to 21 increased magical spell damage and healing |
| On-use effect | Grants immunity to Fear for 15 seconds |
| Cooldown | 10 minutes |
The Fear effect is not general crowd-control immunity: it protects against Fear only, lasts 15 seconds, and the 10-minute cooldown makes it a planned response rather than something to use repeatedly. The item also provides protection against certain psychic attacks. Warcraft Wiki’s item reference lists the item’s specifications and identifies it as exclusive to Season of Discovery.
How to craft the vambraces
The recipe is learned from the Shadowy Figure in Moonglade after completing Waking the Nightmare. The listed ingredients are:

Get the base vambraces first
The ingredient named Void-Powered Vambraces is a separate, base item. It is awarded by the quest The Bad News… and is consumed when you craft the upgraded Void-Powered Invoker’s Vambraces. Plan to obtain that quest reward before spending the other recipe materials. The Bad News… quest page identifies the reward.

Is this item worth pursuing?
It is a candidate for characters who can meet the Engineering requirement and value its spell stats or Fear immunity. Whether it is a good wrist upgrade depends on your class, role, progression phase, available alternatives, and whether the on-use effect matters for the content you are doing.
For a specific point of comparison, Wowhead’s Phase 8 pre-raid Warlock guide calls it a “Great” option and also lists alternatives such as Dryad’s Wrist Bindings and Deathmist Bracers. That is a phase- and class-specific recommendation, not a universal best-in-slot verdict; check the current guide for your class and progression stage. Wowhead’s Phase 8 pre-raid Warlock guide includes its ranking and alternatives.
