Which class should you use for Julei?
Use the class options you have unlocked to address the needs of your current party. If you want Julei focused on his documented strength, prioritize the class and class-specific abilities that support healing and regeneration. If the rest of the team already covers survival, you can weigh offensive options instead. This is a role-based way to choose, not a verified class ranking: the official material available does not compare Julei’s classes or identify a definitive best one.

How do Julei’s classes and elemental plots work?
Elemental vessels open class options, while the elemental plot is where a character acquires moves and abilities. Advancing through the plot reflects a character’s attunement to the vessels; new branches open as you obtain vessels. Elemental points come from Elementite and Gold Clovers. Moves stay available after a class switch
Moves learned through the elemental plot remain usable after you change class. You do not lose every learned move when you switch, though you can use in battle only the moves assigned to the ring menu.
Class abilities are tied to their class
Class-specific abilities take effect only while the character is in the corresponding class. Check which class an ability belongs to before building around it; a move that remains available after switching and an ability that is class-dependent are not interchangeable.

The starter class can expand
When a character has no elemental vessel equipped, they use the starter class. Maxing one elemental plot can expand that class: it can use additional weapons, assign abilities that were not originally native to it, and use class strikes from other classes. Special items can further expand plots and make higher-tier moves available.

You choose a three-person battle team from five playable characters: Val, Careena, Morley, Palamena, and Julei. You can switch among active members during battle, and inactive characters receive the same EXP. That flexibility lets you bring Julei when his support suits the encounter without leaving other characters behind in levels.

Only moves assigned to the ring menu are usable in battle. Opening the ring menu pauses combat, and shortcuts can be set for frequently used spells and items. After unlocking a move for Julei, assign the healing or support actions you expect to need to the ring menu or shortcuts so they are available when you switch to him.

Visions of Mana is an action RPG released on August 29, 2024; its Steam release followed on August 30, 2024. Square Enix lists PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Steam as platforms. Its official material identifies Julei as voiced by Amber Aviles; the character line “Sproutlings take what life gives us and we’re grateful for it” is dialogue, not a gameplay statement by the voice actor.
