These are troubleshooting steps—not a confirmed diagnosis or guaranteed fix for every crash.
Is WARRIORS: Abyss supported on PS4?
Yes. KOEI TECMO lists PlayStation 4 as a supported platform and says WARRIORS: Abyss is available digitally. The publisher’s official platform and news page describes the PlayStation Store as offering PS4 and PS5 versions and additional digital content.

Update PS4 system software
Install the latest PS4 system software available for your console.

Check for a WARRIORS: Abyss update
On the PS4 home screen, highlight WARRIORS: Abyss, press OPTIONS, then choose Check for Update. Install an update if one is available.

Restart and power-cycle the PS4
Hold the PS button, select Power > Turn Off PS4, and wait for the console to turn off. Unplug its power cable for a few minutes, reconnect it, then turn the PS4 back on.

Reactivate the PS4 as your primary console
Activate the console as the primary PS4 for your account. If it is already activated, deactivate it once and activate it again. KOEI TECMO’s PS4 crash support article links to additional help for managing primary PS4 activation.

Restore licenses
From the PS4 home screen, open Settings > Account Management > Restore Licences, then follow the on-screen instructions.

Rebuild the PS4 database in Safe Mode
Start the PS4 in Safe Mode and select 5. Rebuild Database. If you need help entering Safe Mode, use the instructions linked from KOEI TECMO’s support article.

Reinstall the game and DLC
Reinstall WARRIORS: Abyss and any DLC, then check for and install the latest game update again.

What the update history says about crashes
KOEI TECMO’s WARRIORS: Abyss update history lists PS4 Ver. 01.11 and an update dated 2026-03-19. The history also records an earlier fix for a bug that could cause an application crash. That entry documents a past fix; it does not establish the cause of a current crash on an individual PS4 or show that every present crash has the same cause.
When to contact support
If the game still crashes after you complete the sequence, contact KOEI TECMO Support. Its guidance does not promise that these steps will resolve every case, and it does not identify a universal current crash issue specific to WARRIORS: Abyss.
