The Warzone Season 04 Reloaded mid-season update, launched July 2, 2025, made three changes that matter most: Ranked Play: Resurgence returned on Rebirth Island with team-based SR, the Krig C was nerfed, and the Victus XMR was reworked into an infinite-range, one-shot headshot weapon. Every figure below is a July 2025 value. Later seasons have shipped their own balance changes, so treat these numbers as a record of that patch rather than the current live state.
Ranked Play: Resurgence on Rebirth Island
Ranked Play: Resurgence came back as a competitive Trios mode on Rebirth Island with 45 players. According to Raven Software’s Season 04 Reloaded patch notes, the mode’s central change was moving SR from individual performance to the team. Kills and assists now earn SR collectively for the team, and Raven also revised kill SR, placement SR, division-delta bonuses, and the per-round cap on kill SR.

Team-based SR attribution
The practical effect is that one player’s strong fragging no longer decides the SR result on its own. Every kill and assist feeds the same team total, so coordination between the three players is rewarded more directly than in the earlier individual model. The notes frame this as a ranked design choice rather than a tuning pass, and the revised per-round cap and delta values are set out in the official notes linked above.
Placement rewards
Placement SR was set as follows:
| Final placement | Placement SR (July 2025) |
|---|---|
| Top 15 | 0 |
| Top 13 | 10 |
| Top 10 | 20 |
| Top 8 | 30 |
| Top 6 | 50 |
| Top 4 | 75 |
| First place | 150 |
The schedule rewards survival to the late circles and treats a Top 15 finish as worth nothing, so a team that spends its early game in fights with little follow-up gains little from placement alone.

#1 Best Overall
- Call of Duty: Modern Wafare II PS5
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is the sequel to 2019’s blockbuster Modern Warfare.
- Featuring the return of the iconic, team leader Captain John Price, the fearless John "Soap" MacTavish, the seasoned Sergeant Kyle "Gaz” Garrick, and the lone wolf himself, fan favorite Simon “Ghost” Riley, players will witness what makes Task Force 141 the legendary squad it is today.

Elimination bonuses by rank delta
Bonus SR per elimination scales with the rank gap between the eliminated team and the eliminator, rising from 1 SR at the lowest deltas to 4 SR at the highest. Taking out a higher-ranked opponent is therefore worth more than a routine elimination of a lower-ranked team.
Death penalties, Buy Stations and restricted items
Death penalties were removed for Ranked Resurgence in this season. The mode regulated Buy Station inventory and applied the same restrictions used by Battle Royale Ranked. The notes also list these event rules:
- Fire Sale is available in Circle 3.
- Restock is available in Circle 4.
- Other public events are disabled in the mode.
The following items were restricted:
- Search & Destroy contracts
- Experimental Gas Grenades
- Neurogas Mines
- Shock Charges
- Impact Grenades
Raven Software summed up the priority in one line: “winning a match and defeating your opponents is paramount in ranked.”

- ADAPT OR DIE IN A FIGHT AGAINST THE ULTIMATE THREAT
- Combat means making choices — different loadouts, different paths through the mission. Combat missions that provide more player choice. There is no one-size-fits-all solution – it is your choice whether to take the stealthy approach or go loud taking on any and all foes.
- One of the greatest collections of Multiplayer maps ever. Launching with new Ground War maps boasting innovative play spaces and the epic return and evolution of the popular War Mode
Krig C nerf
The Krig C was nerfed across handling, speed and bullet performance. The figures below come from WarzoneLoadout’s July 1, 2025 nerfs and buffs entry, a specialist secondary listing; the official notes name the weapon change but the listing carries the numbers.

| Sprint-to-fire time | 200 ms | 215 ms |
| Bullet velocity | 870 m/s | 850 m/s |
| Flinch resistance | not stated | reduced by 20% |
Taken together, the Krig C becomes slower to start firing after a sprint, slower while aiming down sights, and less punchy at range because its bullets travel more slowly. The listing does not explain the arm multiplier change in terms of in-game feel, so the table records it as stated.

Raven Software described the Victus XMR from Modern Warfare II as changed into an infinite-range, one-shot headshot weapon. The official notes say the team intended to separate sniper roles and would monitor performance and community feedback. The detailed values come from the same WarzoneLoadout entry:

| Maximum damage | 150 | 180 |
| Minimum damage | 120 | 180 |
| Range | not stated | infinite |

| ADS speed | 625 ms | 615 ms (faster) |
| Medium damage range 1 | present | removed |
| Flinch resistance | not stated | decreased by 20% |
The buff trades projectile speed and some handling for reach. Minimum damage rising to 180 matches maximum damage, so the damage floor no longer drops off with distance, and the infinite range removes the cutoff that previously limited the weapon. The cost is a slower bullet at 610 m/s, which makes long-range shots more dependent on leading targets, and a reduction in flinch resistance. The listing records that reduction without explaining its in-game effect.
Sources and dating
For release timing, Ranked Play rules and the official Victus XMR description, use Raven Software’s patch notes page, dated July 1, 2025. That page also contains later dated entries, so match each change to its own section date rather than assuming every item belongs to the July 2 launch. The Krig C and Victus XMR numbers are from WarzoneLoadout and should be read as the July 2025 adjustment. The Call of Duty patch notes index lists later season updates, which is the easiest way to confirm whether a weapon has been changed again since.
No population statistic or measured player-outcome figure accompanies these changes. The values describe what was adjusted, not how much those adjustments shifted results in matches.
