The rabbit icons in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II show how nearby NPCs are reacting to Henry. The game guide calls this the “Behavior Indicator (Hare)”: white icons generally signal suspicion or investigation, yellow icons signal rising detection or an alarm, orange icons indicate warnings or pursuit, and crossed red swords mean combat.
What each rabbit indicator means
The indicator appears near the top centre of the screen, according to Nathan Garvin’s Gamer Guides entry, released 3 February 2025 and last updated 17 September 2026. Use the meanings below as a guide to the NPC response being signalled, not as a complete account of every reaction in the game.

What to do when detection is rising
When the yellow hare’s ears start to rise during stealth, the guide recommends getting out of sight and putting distance between Henry and the NPCs. Its other general stealth suggestions are to wear clothing with low noise and visibility, move slowly, avoid light sources and dogs, and tell Mutt to stay if his movement could attract attention. These are the guide’s recommendations, not independently verified tests.
How much to rely on the indicator
The icons distinguish several useful stages and actions: suspicion, investigation, detection, alarm, a restricted-area warning, confrontation, pursuit, and combat. But Gamer Guides cautions that the indicator is not comprehensive. Read it alongside the circumstances and NPC behaviour rather than assuming that no icon means no possible reaction, or that an icon predicts exactly what every NPC will do.
