Supercell’s official guidance describes a sequence of free checks, and if those fail, a support request made from inside the game. Recovery is not guaranteed: Supercell says it can change the linked email only after it verifies that you own the account.
Start by finding the email address you used
Before contacting anyone, check whether the address is still sitting in an inbox you can open. When a Supercell ID is created or connected, Supercell sends a confirmation email, so searching for the exact phrase “Supercell ID” is the fastest first step.
- Open each email account you might have used to sign up for games, including old personal and work addresses.
- Search for Supercell ID. Look at the sender and the date of any confirmation message.
- Check spam, promotions, and archived folders, because automated security messages are often filed there.
If you find a confirmation message, the address it was sent to is the one linked to your Supercell ID. If nothing turns up, move on to the in-game check. Do not guess at addresses one after another, since each guess that fails adds nothing to a support request.
Check whether the account appears in the game’s login menu
Supercell ID is tied to the game account, so the game itself can show whether a linked account exists. Open a Supercell game on the device you normally use, then choose the login option labelled Log In Using Supercell ID. If your account is listed, select it and follow the prompts.

Logging in works only if you can receive the verification code at the linked address. Supercell ID login sends a fresh code to that email; it does not use a password. If you can read the code, you can sign in and your game progress should load with the account. If the account is not listed, that does not prove it is gone, and the next step still applies.
Contact Supercell Support from inside the game
If the email cannot be identified or accessed, contact support through the game. Supercell’s guidance points to the in-game help route, and the exact menu wording can differ between titles and change over time:

- Choose Help and Support.
- Use the in-game chat or contact option to write to Supercell Support.
Supercell’s guidance also states that if there is no access to an email or account, you should contact them through the game for help. Third-party recovery services cannot do this for you; the official route runs through Supercell’s own ownership checks.
What to include in your support request depends on Account Protection
Support needs proof that you control the account, and what it asks for depends on whether Account Protection was switched on before you lost access. Account Protection may not be available for every account or in every region, so do not assume it is present.

If Account Protection was enabled
Ask support to verify you through the SMS route linked to Account Protection or with a Recovery Code you saved earlier. Both methods are designed to establish ownership without relying on the lost email. Supercell’s guidance is clear that codes should never be shared with anyone other than Supercell Support, including people who claim to be helping you recover the account.
If Account Protection was not enabled
Supercell says it will verify account ownership through a series of questions, as stated in its Parent’s Guide. To make that process faster, prepare the following before you write:

- The account name and current level
- Your current clan or comparable group, if you belong to one
- Transaction IDs for any purchases you made on the account
- A new email address that is not already connected to any Supercell ID, in case support can change the linked address
What each situation can lead to
The outcome depends on what you can still access. The table below summarises the scenarios Supercell’s guidance covers.

Supercell also says email changes can be disabled for accounts it considers unsecured, and some email domains are not supported. If support declines a change for either reason, the account may still be recoverable through verification alone, but you should ask support directly which route is open to you.

Security rules to follow during recovery
- Use only in-game Supercell Support or Supercell’s official support pages.
- Never give a verification code or Recovery Code to anyone except Supercell Support.
- Be wary of any third party that offers to recover the account for a fee or asks for your login details; the official guidance describes recovery only through Supercell’s own checks.
- Once you regain access, add a current email address and enable Account Protection if it is offered for your account, so the next recovery does not depend on one inbox.
Keeping your Supercell ID email in a password manager note or a dated record alongside your Player ID is the simplest way to avoid repeating this process.
