Mol’s location depends on your progress: she is in the Tiefling Hideout beneath the Emerald Grove in Act One, at Last Light Inn before her Act Two abduction, and in the Guildhall in Baldur’s Gate’s Lower City in Act Three. After the abduction, she is not in Moonrise Towers or the Mind Flayer Colony; the eyepatch found in Balthazar’s Necrotic Laboratory is only a clue.
Act One: Find Mol in the Tiefling Hideout
Mol is in the Tiefling Hideout, a cavern beneath the south-western part of the Hollow in the Emerald Grove. There are two ways in.
Concealed hatch beneath the Hollow
Look for the concealed hatch at X:227 Y:553. Speaking with Doni can reveal it if you pass a DC 10 Perception check followed by a DC 10 Investigation check. If you rescued Mirkon during Investigate the Beach, he can give you the password to use with Doni.
Small-character crevice
A second entrance is a rocky crevice at X:224 Y:564, on a ledge beneath a wooden ladder. A DC 5 Perception check is needed to notice it, and only Small or Tiny characters—or characters temporarily changed to one of those sizes—can fit through.

The hideout is Mol’s territory. Helping or protecting the children can earn her trust and let your party explore without her warning you off. Her favor can be earned in several ways, including saving Arabella or Mirkon, going easy on Silfy, or resolving Meli’s locket incident favorably. The hideout page describes her rallying the gang with the line, “The Gate will never see us coming. We’re going to own that town.” BG3 Wiki: Tiefling Hideout
Act Two: Check Last Light Inn before following the quest
If Mol survives Act One, she is at Last Light Inn before the abduction. The Find Mol quest is available in playthroughs where you completed Save the Refugees with the tiefling refugees and the Druid Grove protected. After you speak with Isobel, a Winged Horror takes Mol during the Last Light Inn abduction sequence.

After the abduction: where to search—and where not to
Your journal may point you toward the Mind Flayer Colony or Moonrise Towers, but Mol is in neither location. Her eyepatch is in Balthazar’s Necrotic Laboratory at approximately X:700 Y:-112; the Mol page lists the spot as X:693 Y:-111. If Isobel was not saved, finding the eyepatch can unlock the questline. The item is a clue, not proof that Mol is in the laboratory.
If Mol or the tiefling children are missing from Last Light Inn, consider what happened to Mol and the refugees earlier in your playthrough; her Act Two appearance depends on those events. BG3 Wiki: Find Mol · BG3 Wiki: Mol
