The Battlefield 6 Open Beta has ended, and EA has not announced another public beta date in the official materials reviewed through October 8, 2026. The beta ran on scheduled weekends in August 2025. Battlefield Labs is a separate, selective playtesting program—not a newly announced public beta.
When was the Battlefield 6 Open Beta?
EA announced the schedule on July 31, 2025. Early access began August 7 at 08:00 UTC. The first public weekend ran August 9–11, closing at 08:00 UTC on August 11; the second ran August 14–18, closing at 08:00 UTC on August 18. EA said the public weekends did not require a code. The beta was available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app. EA’s Open Beta announcement has the schedule and platform details.
Has EA announced another beta date?
No new public Open Beta date appears in the official EA materials reviewed through October 8, 2026. EA’s October 1, 2026 Season 5 and beyond announcement discusses the game’s first year and future development, but does not give another Open Beta date. EA’s Battlefield 6 news index listed posts through October 2 without announcing a new one in the reviewed items. This describes what EA had announced by that date; it does not rule out a later announcement.
Could Battlefield Labs let you play before another public beta?
Possibly, but Labs is not a public beta with a published schedule. EA says interested players can sign in to the EA Playtesting Portal with an EA Account and register for a chance to participate. Registration does not guarantee selection; EA Playtesting manages selection and chosen participants receive an email invitation. Check EA’s Battlefield Labs help page for current eligibility and availability, and watch the email associated with your EA Account.

EA’s help page lists Battlefield Labs on the EA app, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It describes an initial select group in Europe and North America, with expansion to Asia-Pacific planned later. Because access is selective and details can change, consult the current page rather than assuming registration or a particular region means you can join.
