The outlet explicitly described the end time as approximate and subject to change. Treat these times as reported figures, not official Epic timings, unless you find them confirmed in an official status incident.

Because the end time was an estimate, a player who was still offline at 8:00 a.m. ET on that day was not necessarily experiencing a fault. Maintenance can run longer than projected, and time zones matter: 8:00 a.m. ET is 5:00 a.m. Pacific and 1:00 p.m. in London during September, so convert the figure to your local clock before planning around it.

What v37.30 changed
The official v37.30 notes focus on Fortnite Creative and Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) ecosystem changes, not on general gameplay. The highlighted additions were:
- Lonewolf Lair prefabs and galleries for creators building in Creative.
- A 2025 Birthday Cake prop.
- Updates to the User Interfaces Feature Template.
- A multi-island monetization dashboard in the Creator Portal, which lets creators view earnings across more than one island.

Forward-looking note on General Physics
The v37.30 notes also say that General Physics was expected to enter beta in v37.40. That is a forward-looking statement made in the v37.30 documentation. It is not a feature of v37.30 itself.

- Open the official Fortnite Status page when downtime is announced or when your game stops connecting.
- Look for the scheduled maintenance entry and any estimated duration. Epic states that an estimate will be posted there when one is available.
- Check Epic’s release notes for the version number and date. Those are the authoritative source for when a version was released.
- Treat third-party reported times as approximate, and note whether they were published before or after maintenance began.
