PlayStation does not publish a universal day or exact time when the entire PlayStation Store refreshes. Availability depends on the specific game, sale, or benefit: check that item’s Store listing or official announcement. If you mean a patch for a game already installed, check for an update from the console’s game or app options.
Does the PlayStation Store update on a set day or time?
No single recurring Store-wide refresh day or hour is established by the official PlayStation sources available. A date announced for a particular game, offer, or event applies to that content; it is not evidence of a universal update schedule. For example, PlayStation’s Days of Play 2026 announcement named May 27 as the promotion’s start date and June 2 for the monthly games described in that promotion.
For a particular release or offer, use its Store listing or the announcement from PlayStation. The sources do not provide a complete regional timetable for when catalog listings appear.
When do PlayStation Plus monthly games become available?
PlayStation says new monthly games are added each calendar month. That describes the PlayStation Plus monthly-games benefit, not a schedule for every Store listing. How do I check for a game update on PS5 or PS4?
A game or app patch is separate from new content appearing in the Store. PlayStation says a game or app updates to the newest available version when started; you can also check manually from its options.
- Highlight the game or app on the console.
- Open its options menu.
- Select Check for Update.

Can region affect Store content or add-ons?
Region can matter for whether add-ons or in-game currency work with a disc and account. PlayStation says the game disc must be licensed for the same country or region as the account for Store add-ons or in-game currency to work.
