The mission event most directly tied to LFI is Jay Norris’s death in Friend Request. The cited GTABase mission guide describes the stock’s decline in connection with the event. That makes buying beforehand a poor choice if your plan depends on a mission-driven gain: the event direction is down, not up.

Should you buy after the drop?
Only if you are comfortable with an uncertain, save-specific speculation. A Digital Citizen guide updated January 14, 2026 says some players trade brief rebounds after LFI bottoms. A community report, however, says the stock does not recover. Neither establishes a dependable Lifeinvader return or a guaranteed recovery schedule.
If you want to try it, wait until LFI appears to have bottomed in your game, then check your portfolio after advancing in-game time. Treat the displayed return as a live indicator, not a promise: sell when the return stops increasing rather than relying on a preset percentage or number of in-game hours. Outcomes can vary by version, platform, and save.

What to check while trading
- Use the in-game portfolio return to see whether your position is still gaining; do not assume a quoted general-market percentage applies to LFI.
- There is no substantiated universal sell percentage or exact waiting period for this stock. Vandal’s stock-market guide, dated July 16, 2026 and updated September 2, 2026, warns that peaks vary by release, platform, and market state and recommends watching whether returns continue to rise.
- Stock trading is a Story Mode feature. BAWSAQ availability depends on Rockstar’s online services; if it is unavailable in your game, you cannot make a BAWSAQ trade. The Lifeinvader-specific information here does not establish that a particular BAWSAQ route is necessary.
