If you’re looking for an official Xbox Wrapped for 2025, contemporaneous reports from December said Xbox was not releasing a Year in Review recap that year. Microsoft did not publicly confirm that decision or explain it in the sources available. For a third-party alternative, TrueAchievements offered My Year on Xbox, though its playtime estimates can miss time spent in games before you registered.
Is there an official Xbox Wrapped for 2025?
As of December 2025, there was no official Xbox Year in Review for 2025. Windows Central reported that Xbox was not doing a recap, citing the author’s sources. TrueAchievements said it had contacted Microsoft and, after receiving no further update, believed there would be no official 2025 Year in Review. These are reports, not a Microsoft announcement confirming the decision. Windows Central’s December 18 report and TrueAchievements’ report describe what was known at the time.

That means there is no official 2025 recap page or sign-in route to look for. The last official edition described in Microsoft’s announcement was for 2024.
What the official Xbox Year in Review showed in 2024
Xbox Senior Digital Marketing Manager Shanti Lang announced the 2024 edition with the line, “The Xbox Year in Review is back, and it’s packed with your most memorable moments.” The recap included personalized stats and features:
#1 Best Overall
- THE PERFECT GAMING GIFT — Buy an XBOX Gift Card for yourself or a friend and let them choose the games, add‑ons, subscriptions, and accessories they want most.

- GAME PASS READY — Apply your balance toward XBOX Game Pass Ultimate to play new titles on day one* and access a library of hundreds of high‑quality console games.
- PRE‑ORDER & PRE‑INSTALL GAMES — Use your balance to pre‑order and pre‑download upcoming titles so you’re ready to play the moment they launch.
- NO FEES OR EXPIRATION — XBOX Gift Cards never expire and have no service fees, so your balance is ready whenever you are.

- Game-specific statistics
- A design customized around the player’s most-played game and a personalized gamer profile
- A look at friends the player most often played with
- Dedicated Game Pass and Rewards sections
For that edition, players had to sign in on the Xbox Year in Review page. Microsoft said the feature was available in select markets, and the 2024 recap remained accessible until January 31, 2025. Those details apply to the 2024 edition, not a 2025 release. Microsoft’s 2024 announcement lists the features and availability terms.
How to get an Xbox recap for 2025
Use TrueAchievements’ My Year on Xbox
TrueAchievements offered My Year on Xbox, a third-party recap based on Xbox account data. It is an alternative, not an official Microsoft Year in Review. Its playtime estimates may be inaccurate for games you started before registering with the service: it does not have data on how long you played those games before registration. TrueAchievements’ 2025 report describes the service and this limitation.

Check your own Xbox history
If you would rather not use a third-party recap, your own account and game histories may help you reconstruct the year. This will not produce the same consolidated, personalized Year in Review experience Microsoft offered in 2024, but it avoids treating an estimate from an outside service as a complete playtime record.
Watch for a future Microsoft announcement
If you want an official recap, the only reliable confirmation will be a new announcement from Microsoft or Xbox. The 2024 Year in Review page’s past availability window does not establish whether or when another edition will appear.

Why didn’t Xbox make a 2025 recap?
Microsoft’s official reason is not established. Windows Central’s Jez Corden wrote, “The answer is no, but there is good stuff on the horizon,” and suggested that Xbox’s 25th anniversary and other major franchise anniversaries in 2026 could help explain the absence, with anniversary activity taking resources that might otherwise have gone to a recap. That is the reporter’s interpretation, not a rationale confirmed by Microsoft. The available reporting does not establish why Xbox skipped a 2025 edition.
