Alliance players enter the Battle of Dazar’alor raid from the docks in Boralus Harbor, in Tiragarde Sound, Kul Tiras. The raid itself takes place inside Dazar’alor, the Zandalari capital, but the Alliance route does not begin at an overland entrance inside the city. It starts in Boralus, and the Horde side has its own separate entrance inside Dazar’alor.
Where the Alliance entrance is
The Alliance entrance sits on the docks of Boralus Harbor, the Alliance capital’s harbor in Tiragarde Sound. Wowhead lists the entrance at coordinates 70.5, 35.4. Warcraft Wiki gives 70.5, 35.3 for the same harbor entrance. The two values differ by a tenth of a map unit, and both should be treated as a waypoint to the same spot rather than two different destinations.
Finding the entrance with a waypoint
If you use a waypoint addon that accepts the /way command, you can set a marker directly on the harbor entrance:
- Open your world map and confirm you are viewing Tiragarde Sound.
- In the chat box, type
/way 70.5, 35.4and press Enter. - If the waypoint lands in open water or away from the docks, try
/way 70.5, 35.3, the alternate value listed by Warcraft Wiki. - Follow the marker to the docks in Boralus Harbor and look for the Battle of Dazar’alor entrance there.
Without an addon, search your in-game navigation for “Battle of Dazar’alor” or “Boralus” and travel to the harbor. The coordinates are a map aid, not a teleport, and they will not unlock the raid on their own.

Alliance and Horde entrances compared
The two factions do not share an entry point. Each faction begins in a different location, and the table below shows the starting point for each side.

Do not follow Horde directions into Dazar’alor if you are an Alliance character. The Horde entrance is inside the Zandalari capital and does not serve the Alliance route.

What the Alliance storyline covers
Blizzard Entertainment’s raid announcement describes the Alliance segment this way: “The Alliance continues into the heart of Dazar’alor for a trio of encounters where they will ultimately confront the Zandalari king, Rastakhan, in his throne room.” The announcement is an official Blizzard statement and does not name an individual author.
If you cannot reach the entrance
- Confirm that you are standing on the docks in Boralus Harbor, not on a different pier or in the city’s inner districts.
- Check the in-game Adventure Guide for the raid’s current availability on your character.
- Review your quest progress, because the sources available for this guide do not establish the exact quest or progression requirements for every character state.
- If the coordinates appear correct but no entrance is present, the entrance may have moved in a later update. Recheck the coordinates against a current source before assuming an error.

Blizzard’s raid announcement supports the Alliance storyline and the description of Dazar’alor as the setting. The Boralus Harbor location and coordinates come from Wowhead, with Warcraft Wiki providing a second coordinate and the Horde entrance details.
