The Well of Spirits is in the Tomb of Storms in Krokotopia. Once you are inside the Tomb of Storms, look for the seated Krok statue across from the building entrance. Player and community guides place the Well behind that statue, and the beetle hunt described below depends on the same landmark.
Where the Well of Spirits is located
The Well of Spirits is a location within the Tomb of Storms, one of the areas of Krokotopia. The community-maintained Wizard101 wiki’s location index places it there and lists nearby connections to the Ahnic Family Tomb, Djeserit Family Tomb, Karanahn Barracks, Temple of Storms, and Tomb of the Beguiler. That connection list comes from the index entry rather than an official game map, so treat it as a reliable orientation aid rather than a complete route guide.
The most useful landmark is a statue of a Krok sitting on a throne, positioned across from the building’s entrance. A player reply on the official Wizard101 forums places the beetle behind this statue. It is a player answer, not a developer statement, but it matches the other community descriptions.
Finding Zeke’s beetle inside the Well
If you are searching for the Krokotopia beetle specifically, a 2020 fan guide gives the more actionable path. Follow these steps:

- Enter the Tomb of Storms in Krokotopia.
- Locate the seated Krok statue across from the building entrance.
- Go up the stairs in the area.
- Move behind the main Krok statue. The beetle is there, inside the Well of Spirits.
The “up the stairs” step appears only in that guide, and it dates from 2020. Krokotopia has been updated since then, so if the layout looks different, use the statue as your reference point and check whether the stairs have moved.
Reaching the Well if you have not been to Tomb of Storms yet
The Well is part of Krokotopia’s storyline, so the simplest route is to keep progressing through the main quests until you reach the Tomb of Storms. In the storyline order described by an older forum discussion, the Well falls after the Tomb of Storms and before the later Temple of Storms segment. That same post describes crossing to a separate island and encountering a Krok head with a storm tornado. The post is old, and the sequence may not match the current game, so use it as a general direction rather than a checklist.

The Well as a side-quest destination
The Well of Spirits also appears as a quest objective. In the side quest “Bottled Up,” the goal is to go to the Well of Spirits after speaking with the Ghost of Krokhotep in the Tomb of Storms. The Wizard101 Central wiki lists this quest with a last modification date of March 23, 2024. The quest requires level 38 and a Death wizard. Those requirements belong to that side quest only; they are not a general condition for entering the Well.

Players search for this location in several ways, including “where is the well of spirits,” “where is the Well of Spirits in Wizard101,” and “where is the Well of Spirits beetle.” If your question is about the general location, the Tomb of Storms answer above covers it. If you want the beetle, use the statue and stairs steps.
