Verdansk is not waiting to come back to Call of Duty: Warzone, because it already returned. Activision scheduled the map’s return for April 3, 2025, with access expected at around 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Activision’s most recent official Warzone Season 06 patch notes, dated October 7, 2026, still reference Verdansk content, so the map remains part of the game. How the 2025 return was scheduled
Verdansk had first entered Warzone on March 10, 2020. Its 2025 comeback was tied to the Black Ops 6 Season 03 rollout. That season began on April 2, 2025, and Warzone’s Verdansk access was set for the following day. The access time of about 9:00 a.m. PT was the planned launch time given in Activision’s announcement. It was not a live countdown, and it should be read as approximate.
What Activision said the 2025 map was
A rebuild of the 2020 map
Activision described the 2025 version as a rebuild of the original map, with light changes and quality-of-life improvements. It said the map was about 95% a rebuilt version of Verdansk from 2020. The remaining landscape adjustments included improvements and elements from later seasons. The 95% figure is Activision’s own description of its recreation, not an independent measurement.
Launch player count
Activision’s launch plan described Battle Royale returning with 150 players. That was a detail of the 2025 launch plan. It is not a guarantee of the player count in every playlist today.

How Activision framed the return
Activision’s blog post from 2025 put the return this way:
“When Verdansk returns on April 3, 2025, players who dropped in five years previously on March 10, 2020, should instantly recognize this as the original Big Map Call of Duty: Warzone experience.”

Is Verdansk still in Warzone?
Yes, according to the most recent official patch notes. Activision’s Warzone Season 06 notes, dated October 7, 2026, include Verdansk-specific updates and locations, including High Value Loot Zones at Superstore, Hospital, and Stadium. Those notes show that Verdansk content is part of current season content. They do not show that every mode or playlist features Verdansk at all times, because the notes describe map-specific content rather than a playlist schedule. Check the mode you want in game before assuming it is available.

Console support is a separate schedule
Activision Support’s June 5, 2026 platform notice says Warzone service on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is planned to continue through the end of Black Ops 7 Season 06, with support ending after that season. Keep this separate from the map question:
